[Anyone attuned to the flow of magic with the capacity to sense it feel a surge coming from Makeout Point. In fact, this sudden concentration feels VERY much like Shana's Guren no Souyoku Unrestricted Method that grants her wings of flame.

Only it doesn't feel quite right. It doesn't feel like fire, but... starlight? A shimmering yellowish glow can be seen from the Point.]

So who wants to go to the Drive In? It's almost dark and I feel like seeing a movie on that really big screen with popcorn and some friends and b--

[She cuts herself off. No, no drinking tonight because... The phone is partially muffled as Marisa yells something back into her own house.]

Oi! Ciel! I'm taking the car tonight. No, I'm not going to drink. Yes, I know how to drive. And no, you're not stopping me. I already got the keys, ze.

[And back to talking on the phone.] So who wants to come with me? No boring people allowed.

[Marisa shows no hostility at all. Now that she knows the origin of the barrier, she shifts her attention back to the wings, moving them slowly and checking their range of mobility.]

In the world we came from humans are unable to use spells or any special skills without a contract. This is a unique situation to have the chance of observeing.

[Marisa gives an experimental flap of the wings, lifting herself a few inches off the ground before dropping back down. She's not going to actually try flying this time. She needed to see how long she could maintain the wings first. Sweat beaded on her brow. Unfamiliar magic, new spell... it was quite taxing on the witch.]

Where I'm from 99% of humans can't do more than a basic cantrip without being gifted by the gods. I learned the hard way to use magic. No contracts... none of that. Shana thought I was a Flame Haze at first. It was kinda funny, ze.

I can see where she would come to that conclusion. It would be the safest assumption given basic information.

[Wilhelmina would probably not take kindly to such examples of her friendship, though tea was always welcome.

She nods slowly not adding anything more. She just wasn't very good with keeping a conversation up.]

[Apparently not. Marisa spent the next few minutes examining her wings, flapping them experimentally, but not trying to fly. Flight this time wasn't the purpose of the spell; she needed to check her endurance with it before trying to take to the skies.]

I thought Tiamat was a seven-headed chromatic dragon-goddess from Babylonia.
