[Well, it's been a few days since the end of the event, when Lyon stormed up to her room and locked herself in out of sheer embarrassment.  She was droned for seemingly no reason about ten minutes after that, and Mayfield's been treated to the cheerful drone named Mismar bouncing around town in her place ever since - doing her hair up in curls, going on dates with the Prince's drone, and just generally having a nice relaxing time in the wonderful town of Mayfield.

...All of that comes to an abrupt end on Saturday morning, however, as a red beam of light tears through the roof of 747 Partridge Drive, bright enough and wide enough to be seen from anywhere in town.]

...Hello, everyone.  It's Lyon.  I'm back.  How long has it been here?  And can anyone help repair a hole in a roof?

I regained something that reacted a little badly when I woke up back in Mayfield instead of at home.

That bad, huh? Well, if you wait a day, the hole can fix itself, I think.

Do houses still do that? I know the machine that brings us back is still having problems - or at least it was when I left. Does that apply to fixing the houses, too?

Well I guess you can wait to see if it does or doesn't.

That's probably the best idea, I suppose, as long as the weather stays the same. I don't want to wake up under half a foot of snow in the morning.

I'm still learning how to control my Rune. I ended up with it rather suddenly.

A Rune, eh? Hmm... May I ask which one?

[sparkling_eyes]

It's called the Twilight Rune, one of the three guardian Runes of the Queendom of Falena.

[heavenfang]

... Something like that, then. -Tir's voice seems almost distant. As if there is a great deal of gravity to the words he just spoke.-

...You know about them?

I'm pretty well studied on Rune lore.

I guess we should introduce ourselves, then. My name is Lyon, Queen's Knight of Falena and bodyguard to the Prince.

And I am Tir McDohl.

Nice to meet you, Tir. Are you a Rune scholar, then?

Not... exactly.

[sparkling_eyes]

It's all right if it's something you'd rather not talk about.

Mm. Don't worry too much about it.

In the meantime, I suggest staying in another room, or another house.

That's probably the best idea until we can get this figured out. But isn't in another house going a little far? It's just a hole.

Depends. Is the hole over your bed?

Well, yes... but I can still just sleep in a different room here.

Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't even thinking... I guess not everyone has housemates that would let them do that sort of thing in my situation.
