[Well, it's been a few days since the end of the event, when Lyon stormed up to her room and locked herself in out of sheer embarrassment.  She was droned for seemingly no reason about ten minutes after that, and Mayfield's been treated to the cheerful drone named Mismar bouncing around town in her place ever since - doing her hair up in curls, going on dates with the Prince's drone, and just generally having a nice relaxing time in the wonderful town of Mayfield.

...All of that comes to an abrupt end on Saturday morning, however, as a red beam of light tears through the roof of 747 Partridge Drive, bright enough and wide enough to be seen from anywhere in town.]

...Hello, everyone.  It's Lyon.  I'm back.  How long has it been here?  And can anyone help repair a hole in a roof?

[Surprise, 747 has a guest!

A guest... who wakes up with a startled yell when the entire house shakes from the explosion. Mostly the yell is due to him sitting up to fast and falling right off of the couch, but hey. It was a joint effort.]

[A very sheepish looking Lyon comes downstairs in her pink Mayfield PJs a few minutes later.]

[Caesar's climbing back up onto the couch as she makes an appearance.]

If I'd known this place was going to be explosion-prone...

...Caesar? What are you doing here?

[Between flower confusion, being droned, and suddenly getting dumped back into Mayfield after months of fighting back at home, she has no idea what he's doing here. And even though her pajamas are at least as conservative as her normal clothing, she's blushing and looking scandalized anyway as she tries to partially hide behind the column propping the stairs up at the bottom.]

[Locked room, ok he could deal. Drone Lyon? At least it wasn't that really creepy Mismar. But a hole in the roof? That gets a comment out of him.]

[Nope, not creepy Mismar, just cheerful Mismar that's dating drone!Frey. But now it's Lyon again, as she calls down the stairs.]

Oh, is your roof leaking? [ She's just... not going to address the "being a drone" thing. It's kind of an uncomfortable topic for her. ]

[He shrugs, like that's not any problem at all! Though the way she's trying to hide gets a funny look.]

I lost control of the Twilight Rune for a second when I woke back up in Mayfield.

Up until a few minutes ago, I thought I was back in Sol-Falena.

The...Twilight Rune? I have a bad feeling about this...

It's one of the Three Runes of the royal family of Falena. It's kind of a long story, but I'm its bearer now. It tends to have a mind of its own sometimes, so when I woke up somewhere I didn't expect, it must have triggered the Rune...

Fuck, is this thing as scary as Lym's Sun Rune sounds?

No, it's much easier to manage. It's a little more temperamental than the Prince's Dawn Rune, but it hasn't given me much trouble. It seems to consider me a worthy bearer.

Oh, I see. [A thought strikes him and he wonders why he hadn't thought of it before.]

So...it's sentient?

Sort of, yes. It doesn't really talk to me so much as I get a general feeling of how the Rune is responding to things going on around me. Not all of them are like this, though - only the more powerful ones. The good news about the Twilight Rune is that it works together with the Dawn Rune to control and limit the Sun Rune's power.

But the prince ain't here anymore...so no Dawn Rune. Is yours gonna be ok by itself versus that thing?

I think I can manage on my own if things get bad. It'll be harder, but it was actually pretty late in the war by the time I was chosen by the Twilight Rune. Until then the Prince's Rune was doing most of the work.

Alright, if you say so. Damn it, what are we gonna do about that roof...I don't know if the town will fix it now.

I'm sorry! I'll fix it myself if you show me where the tools are. It's only fair since I'm the one who put the hole there in the first place.

What? No! You'll kill yourself up there!

I'd feel much better taking responsibility for it myself. At least let me pay for the repair if we're able to find someone else to do it.
