This is the local library, right? Is the selection of books here really this... limited?

[ it takes her a while to muster up the courage to return home. people are supposed to revive if they die here, though. everything should be fine. she inhales and opens the door, glancing inside with caution. ]

(The DuPont household is even more depressingly average than before. The drone mother busies herself with tidying things up, while "Dad" watches TV.)

"Oh, hello, dear!" (Says the drone, cheerfully as always.) "Be considerate and don't bother your father until it's commercials, would you? You know how he gets if he is interrupted."

[ she nods, only half listening, but ventures over to the living room anyways, unsure of what exactly she was expecting. more corpses? if a drone wife was okay with a husband who walked around in a mask all the time would she even notice?!

(Spy's not really watching TV, just staring in its general direction. When the commercial comes on, he gets up and stretches, and that's when he spots Platina.

Not!Dad now looks like this, except he dresses like the average Mayfield resident who's come home from work and changed into tacky casual wear.)

(Accent-less, and in a different pitch and timbre than before:) Hello. I don't think we've met before. I'm Jacob, and I guess I'm the head of the household now...that's how this place works, doesn't it?

[ she wasn't aware of having her hopes up, and probably couldn't hide a downfallen look of worry. a man had just died... probably... and the town just replaced him? ]
