[With Valentines day fast approaching, 10032 has become concerned with what to do, and how to do it right considering the object of her affections is rather.. oblivious, she has to do it right.

And that means making chocolates herself. None of this store-bought stuff will do! And its frustrating, because for one, she doesn't know how to make chocolate. And she doesn't know what exactly to use to make it either, which is why she's sort of wandering around town, like looking at sappy v-day cards and the chocolates with them as if suddenly she'll have an epiphany and know how.

Eventually, she'll give up, and start questioning anyone she can see.]

'How do you make chocolate?' Misaka questions insistently considering the importance of the day coming up.

[ He sighs a bit and thinks it over seriously. After a moment of staring toward his closet, he finally comes up with something. ] A jacket.

I could use a new one, after last week. [ Nia's attack had done well to slice through the thin sleeve of his windbreaker in a couple of places. Stitching it up himself had yielded poor results. ]

'Only a jacket?' Misaka questions having expecting something more important.

And I answered that. [ Mostly. ] I'm not too hung up on material possessions that aren't practical, at the moment. It's not like I'm going to ask you to buy me some kind of tool, like a bat, or a crowbar or....

[ Hang on a second. Touma has an idea. ] Have you seen anyone using a two-way radio? Like the police, or maybe one installed in a fire truck?

'No?' Misaka answers curiously as she wonders why you are asking.

I just wondered — what if people used those to communicate instead of the phones? Maybe it could be altered to be more secure by someone who knew how that kind of stuff worked. Something that the people who run this place can't hack. [ Yes, the phones have filters, but why trust the very same system one is handed on a silver platter? ]

'Would you like for Misaka to try and procure something like that and attempt to make it more secure?' Misaka questions.

Yeah! I think that'd be great. We can start with two and if that works out, maybe the resistance can set something up.

[ He seems genuinely excited about this idea. ] Next time something big goes down, it'll be a lot easier than running around town trying to find someone, and a lot more convenient than the phones.

'Misaka will do that for sure then,' Misaka replies with a plan to obtain two radios and rig them.

[ A swift nod. ] Awesome. Thanks for that. If I can do anything to help, let me know. I know sometimes the drones make it hard for girls to buy things, but I also know that the drone dad here has tools in the garage he never uses.

This isn't going to end up like homecoming again, is it? [ Because that was pretty bad, all things considered. At least this time he's only, figuratively, being tugged from both sides and on separate days. ] What I meant was I didn't really want to do anything for that holiday. You never know if Mayfield's going to spring something on us, so it's not really the best time, ya know? [ A not entirely flimsy excuse. Look at all the holiday-related bullshit that happened after all. ]

'It won't,' Misaka promises quickly to not let that happen. 'Please?' Misaka asks again as she promises she will not act strangely.

'Exactly, and that is why Misaka has to act now,' Misaka points out the importance to her of this request.
