Oh no...

I think I've been gone for quite awhile!

[There's some rustling and a clatter. Aradia went to check the calender.]

I'm sorry about not being around! I guess I...I don't think I've died? I could be wrong. Maybe I got droned? I'm back though. I'm pretty sure I'm back! Hehe, I guess I wouldn't be making this phone call otherwise.

Oh I have to get off the phone now. I'm going to be late for school!

♈ AA: Afternoon; School Cafeteria

[Aradia is just sitting at one of the lunch tables with her lunch baggie. She's munching away at her sandwich, happy and bliss. She missed all the operations. It was probably a good thing. Aradia would have been upset, and with her psychic powers available at her disposal...

But what Aradia doesn't seem to know is there's a wad of gum shoved into her hair.

She had gotten into an argument with one of the kid drones. He wouldn't let her play sports with them! The nerve of these drone kids. She didn't realize when she turned and left in a huff, he had shoved gum into her hair. Poor thing. It was stuck pretty badly in her hair now.

Someone better tell her, before leaves and gunk get stuck in it too.]

[Sollux was so happy to be able to see everything again. To be able to put on clothes that actually look good. And to see what he was actually eating in the cafeteria. But the one thing he was most happy to see was his matesprit. How long has it been since he last saw her? A month? Either way, he is dropping his lunch tray and running over to her, throwing his arms around her neck and-- what was that in her hair.

He lets go and sits down next to her, setting his elbow on the table and leaning his chin on his hand.]

I would hug you more but there's something in your hair and I'm not sure that I want to touch it.

[She brightens up immediately when she sees Sollux! She tilts her head curiously though. Something in her hair?

She reaches ba-gross. What is this stuff anyways? Aradia had never chewed gum before, so it wasn't something she recognized.]

I don't know what this is! It's sticky though. Maybe it's glue. [But she didn't go to arts and crafts. And glue dried. She figured this out the hard way when she had to wash it all off her hand once.]

We should probably get it out of your hair before it dries.

[He gets up and takes her hand.]

There are napkins and shit in the bathrooms.

[He smiles.]

[She grabs hold of his hand, the other hand trying to tug the gum out of it as she follows him.

Needless to say, it wasn't working.] Owowow. It's stuck Sollux! I can't get it out. [She tries tugging at it again. Honestly, she's probably making it worst.

Stop tugging, you're probably just going to end up ripping your hair out.

[He takes her into the girl's bathroom and walks over to the sinks, not caring if any other girls saw that he was in there.

He lets go and thinks for a minute.]

Okay so, how are we going to do this...

[What is having different bathrooms? What is privacy and how does it work?]

I'm sure a few missing hairs won't be that big of a deal. I have plenty of hair, Sollux. It won't come out though.

At all! And it's really gross and stick on my hand. [She huffs a bit.] I bet that stupid boy put it in there because he was angry at me.

Why was he angry?

[Drone kids man.

He drags her over closer to the sink and turns her around so he could get at the gum in her hair. He turns on the water and starts to get her hair wet so maybe it would be easier for the gum to let go. And of course, it wasn't.]

What the fuck is this shit even?

-You really have to pardon Dizzy. She's just... sort of staring at that hair. And what may or may not be inside of it.-

I wanted to play the game where you kick a ball back and forth with everyone. He said girls are 'icky' and were too weak to play it. The other boys agreed with him.

And I said he was being silly and I left after we fought.

[Sob. What is this pink gunk in her hair.]

I don't know! It looks like the stuff he was chewing though. He could blow bubbles with it too.

[She turns and looks over at Dizzy.] Oh, hello! Did you want to sit down? There's plenty of room at this sitting and table top device to share.

Humans are weird.

[He takes a napkin and uses it so his hand won't get sticky and tugs on the wad of gum a little.]

[On the upside! Sollux hands do not get sticky. On the downside. Now there is a napkin stuck in Aradia's hair.]

Ow. Is it out yet?

[He stop tugging and tries to throw the napkin away but yeah. It's stuck in her hair. Whoops.]

Uh...

[Way to go Sollux.]

What happened?

[Oh gosh. They are just really good at this.] Oh! I know. When I get leaves and twigs in my hair, I just brush them out! You think if we get a brush, we can brush this out? [Oh lord.]

-... And then staring devolved to pointing.-

Aradia. Your hair.

Oh yes. I have a lot of it. I guess it's surprising for some people. But it hasn't gotten that much longer!

[She is completely oblivious to what you're trying to communicate.]

Maybe, yeah.

[In the meantime he is just gonna. Rip off a bit of the napkin so it's not that bad.]

Where are we going to get a brush though?

But... there's something in it.

I have one in my bag. I always gotta be prepared! What if we suddenly had some adventure? [She might also have that silly jump rope and a hat for her Troll Indiana inspired scenarios.]

It's in the classroom.

Oh? What is it? I mean, sometimes leaves get in it, but I guess you're not talking about leaves.

[He smiles.]

Alright, let's go get it.

[He takes her hand again and starts walking.]

I can't tell... It looks wet.

[She giggles and swings their hands. Even if there's some strange gunk and now a napkin in her hair, she seems to be happy.

Probably because she doesn't realize how serious gum in hair is.] Here's the classroom.

Wet? Why would something wet be in my hair? [She tries to pull it out.]

It's sticky.

Oh dear... -That's only going to get worse too.-
