I think I've been gone for quite awhile!

[There's some rustling and a clatter. Aradia went to check the calender.]

I'm sorry about not being around! I guess I...I don't think I've died? I could be wrong. Maybe I got droned? I'm back though. I'm pretty sure I'm back! Hehe, I guess I wouldn't be making this phone call otherwise.

Oh I have to get off the phone now. I'm going to be late for school!

♈ AA: Afternoon; School Cafeteria

[Aradia is just sitting at one of the lunch tables with her lunch baggie. She's munching away at her sandwich, happy and bliss. She missed all the operations. It was probably a good thing. Aradia would have been upset, and with her psychic powers available at her disposal...

But what Aradia doesn't seem to know is there's a wad of gum shoved into her hair.

She had gotten into an argument with one of the kid drones. He wouldn't let her play sports with them! The nerve of these drone kids. She didn't realize when she turned and left in a huff, he had shoved gum into her hair. Poor thing. It was stuck pretty badly in her hair now.

Someone better tell her, before leaves and gunk get stuck in it too.]

Cut it out?

Why would I have to cut it out? It can't just be pulled out? [Uh oh...]

[He follows her in.]

The one with the bite in it. My lusus didn't want to me to go to school by myself and tried to keep me by stealing it!

[She digs into it until she finds her brush.]

[He takes the brush.]

Do you want to go back into the bathroom to brush it out or just brush it out right here?

Here is fine. It's not like brushing my hair in the classroom is against the rules! [And even then, since when did these trolls follow the rules?]

[He turns her around again and starts to brush her hair, brushing it pretty hard. A little bit was coming out but not enough.]

Well, wouldn't that hurt?

[Ouch. It isn't supposed to hurt this much!] That hurts too. Please tell me it's coming out!

[Oh no. She's starting to get worried. Why is this stuff being so difficult?]

I don't know. I don't even know what this stuff is.

[He stops.]

[He doesn't want to hurt her anymore but it won't come out if he brushes lighter.]

I don't think it's gonna come out though. I think you're going to have to cut your hair.

Cut it? [But, she had so much of it.]

I can get a pair of scissors then. You think it'll grow out again though? I liked it long.

Yeah, it'll take a while but it'll grow back.

I guess I don't have a choice.

[She looks around the classroom until she finds a pair of scissors.] Will you help me with it. I'm sure I'll mess up if I try to cut it myself.

Yeah, sure.

[He takes the scissors from her. It was kind of sad, he liked her long hair. He takes her into a bathroom again and puts her in front of a mirror. He starts to cut her hair, cutting it right above where the hair is and then evening it out. By the time he was done, it was kind of messy, a little uneven, but it didn't look terrible. At least the gum was out of her hair. He puts the scissors down on a counter and then leaves and comes back with a broom.]

[Aradia is swinging her head back and forth, but her hair no longer swished with the action. She looked a little bum, but she looks up and smiles at Sollux when he comes back.]

I bet everyone will be really surprised! Maybe Terezi will get really angry at the drone kid who put that in my hair even.

[He smiles and walks over to her, kissing her on the forehead.]

I think you look cute with short hair.

[He the moves to brush up all the hair and throw it all away. Then he sets the broom against a wall.]

I knew you had a lot of hair but god.

[He laughs a little.]

Well... try?

Oh, hey, you're back. Was wonderin' where you'd gotten off to. You missed out on crazy surgery week.

[ Nadeko does spot it being stuck in her hair, really, but-- oh god, oh god, she's much too shy to point something like that out, so she's trying to figure out a subtle way to go about it..

Sitting down at the same table a bit nervously is a start, it's a familiar person at least so at least that part isn't as scary. ]

[She puts her hands to her hips, sticking her tongue out.]

Wait until it grows back out again!

I'll have to get my brush from my bag! I left it in the classroom.

Crazy surgery week? Was that the same time injuries started appearing? Because I was there for that! And then I...wasn't. Hmm.

[She smiles brightly at Nadeko. Don't worry! She always likes seeing Nadeko.]

Hello! I haven't seen you around in awhile, hehe. I guess that's my fault though. [She's still not sure where all that missing time went.] Have you been okay? I heard some crazy things happened while I was gone!

Yeah, like... kidnapping people then giving them back put-together backwards. Or with parts missing. Or replaced by robots. All kinds of weird shit. It was wild. Handed out free T-shirts and memorabilia.

Hmm, I'm okay.. a-and, please don't worry! [ she nods - a little deeply, as if it's a half-bow of sorts. ]
