Not to put a damper on anyone's excitement, but, provided this place doesn't finish breaking down and taking us all with it, school will be starting again on the sixth of September. For those of you who are new or who just haven't been paying attention, there's a few things you need to know:

First, you don't actually have to go to school every day. The town will only force you to go if you miss three days in a row. If you have someone willing to call you in sick from your house, you can extend that time frame for another day or so.

Second, grades don't matter. The worst you'll get by blowing off your work is either dull disappointment from drones or relatively harmless ire from certain teachers.

And finally, don't be surprised if you end up repeating classes. You can end up doing that a lot and it'll have nothing to do with whether you passed or not.

That's it, your annual school announcement. The one that matters, anyway.

[Caesar sure hopes he won't have to give that speech a third time next year...

Or should he be hoping to, depending? Oh well. He'll go back to lazing about on the front porch with Bonaparte the Second after that, trying to keep from getting too bored between watching the drones glitch out as they wander by and dangling a string over the cat for her to bat at.]

That said, I suppose people could do with a reminder. This place can be monotonous at best.

And hey, just think of it more as me making your work day much more quieter than it could have been...

But considering what else has been implied about this place, anything we've known in the past could have been a lie the whole time.

Well, this place is bent on deceiving us into thinking it's perfect, after all.

Hey, what do you teach at the school again?

I teach economics. [AKA the really boring stuff.] Come to think of it, your voice sounds familiar...

Oh. That. Yeah, I've been in your class before, Mr. Ushiromiya. [At least he's pretty sure it's mister. :|;] I probably slept through it, though.

Well, I suppose I can't really blame you. Very few of us go to school here because we want to, I imagine.

Pretty much. I'm not too thrilled about school in general...

I'd already finished my schooling before I got here. I didn't think I had to teach... [Since Lion had been groomed to be the next head of the Ushiromiya family and all.]

School was boring, so I took an indefinite break. [Back home, anyway.] I was thinking about going back to finish, but then this place happened...

That's too bad. What were you planning to do once you'd finished?

Once I finished? [Oh. Uh. That's a good question, actually.] I'm not really sure. Probably track down where a certain jerk ended up and ruin whatever he's up to...

Or find some nation that needs a strategist, I guess. Not Harmonia, though. That'd be way too much trouble...

[Well, now it sounds like he's just thinking aloud, since he wouldn't expect Lion to know what he's even talking about.]

So you're a strategist, then? [Well, all Lion can determine from that is that Caesar probably isn't from a world similar to his own.] So...why would you want to ruin whatever that person's up to, if you don't mind my asking?

I am. [Definitely not alike.] And I told you. He's a jerk. The biggest of them all. He needs to be put in his place and I'm going to be the one who does it.

Whatever did he do to you to deserve that, I wonder...
