First Solar Flight
1. 952 Beulah Street
[Jim was expecting an adventure of a life time. A chance to show his mom he wasn't a screw up. Instead he was made a cabin boy and had to clean up the stupid ship. Worse was he had Silver breathing down his neck twenty four seven. Things couldn't get any better could they? (sarcasm much?) Well they could.
Jim awakes grumbling incoherntly. He probably slept in again but whatever, wasn't his fault; Morph usually woke him. However when he gains consciousness he finds himself...not in a hammock, but a bed. Why was he in a bed? More importantly why was he in this room? This room he doesn't remember sleeping in.
Getting up slowly he makes his way downstairs looking around cautiously. Did he get kidnapped and not know about it? Or was this some kind of lucid dream?
Hope Juliet and Obi-wan are excited for this new addition.]
2. Phone
[Jim picks up this strange looking device. He hasn't seen something like this where he's from. It was like the seventeenth century okay? They may have flying space sea ships that were powered on solar energy but they didn't have phones yet...for some odd reason. Raising it to his ear he sighs agitatedly. Might as well talk to it and vent a bit.]
Where am I? First I'm being nagged by an old salt and now I'm in some weird house? If this is a joke it's not funny.
952 Beulah
Oh!
[ If Jim is confused, then so is Juliet, staring at the boy in surprise with widened eyes. Well, this is new. And unexpected. Finally, she remembers her manners - kind of. ]
Hello, there.
Re: 952 Beulah
Hi....where am I?

You're in a town called Mayfield. And this is probably going to be very hard to believe at first, but you've been abducted from wherever it is that you come from and dropped into this place. Just like myself and the rest of the people here.

...You're kidding right?

[ Juliet offers him sympathetic smile tinged with sadness, knowing exactly the kind of shock he's experiencing. ]
I've been here almost two months now, just woke up in this house one day with no recollection of how I'd ended up here. Some have been stuck here a lot longer. So far, we have no idea how to get back to our respective homes, or who - or what - are behind these kidnappings. But people are looking into it.

[ Her voice is a touch firmer at that. She's not unsympathetic to his situation, but there really are very few options available to them. She's silent for a moment before speaking up again, softening her tone. ]
Do you want some breakfast? I was going to make some eggs and toast.

[When asked about breakfast he shakes head.]
No...I'm not hungry.
[Because after being told 'hey you've been kidnapped AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!' can cause someone to lose their appetite.]
Does anyone even know who did this?

[ At his answer, Juliet nods in understanding. ]
Okay. Feel free to help yourself to anything when you are. This is your house now, too, for as long as you... stay. Oh, Ben lives here too, but don't worry, he's very nice.
[ Sighing wearily, she shakes her head. ] No, I'm afraid not. Rumor has it that the town Mayor and the Chief of police are involved in this somehow, but we have no hard evidence of anything yet. We're trying, but it's not easy to find anything concrete, here.

[Seemed like a good idea...well at least to Jim. He doesn't listen to rules much.]
no subject
[ Yep, that's exactly what she said. ]

stop thinking about his daddy issueshave fun?]Brain washing? What kind of brain washing we talking here?

When you head out into the city, you'll notice that some people here are overly cheery and... not quite like regular persons. Those are the natives of Mayfield, the drones. All they do is smile, rattle off platitudes and praise the wonders of Mayfield. [ She rolls her eyes, clearly unimpressed. ] Anyway, if you try to break the rules, you get brainwashed - droned. You become like them, either temporarily or permanently. I guess that depends on the severity of your offense.
