01 [ phone | action for 1768 beaver ]

[A teenage girl awakens in a bedroom in 1768 Beaver Street. Her first thoughts are to immediately berate herself for many stupid things which she said yesterday. Stupid stupid stupid! Sigh. Fortunately, she manages to pull herself together enough to examine her unfamiliar surroundings. After some rumination, she reaches two clear conclusions: one, that it is definitely not her bedroom, and two, that she has been the subject of a kidnapping, or perhaps a very poor assassination attempt.

Teenage drama, as all-consuming as it is, will have to be pushed to the wayside for now. There is a mystery to be solved.

Upon examination, there doesn't appear to be any safes or arms to speak of in the room. As to be expected of a proper kidnapping. In fact, it's the most generically non-descript bedroom she's ever encountered.

To her great surprise, the door is unlocked, and so she ventures out into the hall, descending the stairs in an extremely stealthy fashion.

She emerges into a deserted living room, and casts a critical eye around.
]

Hmmmm. You would think that kidnappers would take more steps to secure their hideout! Either that, or Prospit has undergone a substantial amount of remodeling while I've been gone.

[There's a pause as she crosses the room to the window and peeks out. A strange town. Identical houses. A great deal of unfamiliar people.]

Okay. This is a lot stranger than I expected. It would probably be in my best interests to figure out what's really going on here.

[She makes towards the door, but stops when she realizes she's still in the outfit she woke up in.]

I suppose that first, I should probably put on something that isn't pajamas.

[Oh no, the teenage drama thoughts are back.]

...Eeuugh, Jane, you are so stupid!

[Presently, she notices that the phone is off the hook. A inclination toward organization leads her to go over and replace it in its proper place.]

[Oh, he heard all that-]

...Are you new to Mayfield, by any chance?
originalnumber: (Yes?)

Yea I don't think too many know YGO Zexal. xD''

Mm.

In that case, have you found anyone in your current home? If they seem abnormally cheery, it may be best to ignore them...

Otherwise, you are likely under the impression that someone has taken you here for some reason or another, correct?
originalnumber: (Hey. Did you know.)

[personal profile] originalnumber 2012-02-23 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Most definitely- you see, they are not as 'normal' as they appear. Others here call them 'drones', though I am not entirely sure what their purpose is...

You are partially correct. The fact is however, that a number of people are in a similar situation- we have all awoken here in homes that are not ours, with families similarly so. Any belongings or abilities will have been taken and replaced...

Again, the reasoning us unknown, but it would appear that those who control 'Mayfield' are more than intent on keeping those within prisoner.

Unfortunately not.

However, I was given a set of papers from one of the others kidnapped which details quite a bit of what has occurred here so far. It is not in any way pleasant, but it is assuredly informative.
originalnumber: (This isn't that bad actually.)

-soon as I find the link. :U -

I would gladly give you my set if you wish- I remember each detail quite clearly, so it will be no trouble.
originalnumber: (Hey. Did you know.)

Alright then.

Would you prefer retrieving them from my own home, or should I deliver them to yours?
originalnumber: (This isn't that bad actually.)

[personal profile] originalnumber 2012-03-03 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Aah. In that case, what is your address? I will attempt to give you some directions toward my own from there.
originalnumber: (This isn't that bad actually.)

I have the link ready for when he arrives! :D

Aah, Beaver...

I live at '630 Topper', which is located on the other side of the town it would seem. If you are able to reach the park, and move directly south from its center, then it should be the first street following 'Taylor Road'.

Moving to the intersection of streets from your current address should lead you to the road that leads to the park, I believe.

that awkward moment when you forget if they introduced themselves. Oops. :U

The door is answered by a '13 year old' with particularly odd complexion and hair.

...The clothes, however, definitely came from Mayfield. "Aah-" Well, since no one else was probably coming over... "You are Jane then?"
originalnumber: (This isn't that bad actually.)

Hahah, that works. xD

"Astral- Please, come in." He'll step aside so you can do just that now- he has the papers he was talking about in his hands as well.
originalnumber: (...Yes?)

"Aah- forgive me then. I have been trying to get used to various human customs, so I may be attempting too much to do so..." Oops.

He holds out the papers. "In any case, this is the set of information I spoke of over the phone. It is unpleasant, but quite informative, if not at least useful in warning others of what could potentially occur in the future."
