Puzzle 019
[Action 1 - Mayfield High]
[The ever attentive Luke, who normally spends time in each class dutifully taking notes, doesn't seem to be paying much attention to class this time around. As much as he tries to take notes, eventually his mind wanders and he starts drawing in his notebook instead. It starts off with drawings of the Professor, followed by angry scribbles over the Professor's face and then more drawings of the Professor, to famous London landmarks, and then drawings of Luke's hometown, followed by pictures of people Luke hasn't really mentioned before.
This continues well on into lunch, where Luke is still doodling away. Except this time, anyone looking over his shoulder will spot these puzzles written on a page of paper along with the rest of Luke's drawings:

He doesn't notice anyone looking at what he's drawing. Interrupt him?]
[Action 2 - Outside Mayfield High]
Give that back, it's not yours!
Get it yourself, shrimp.
[And to top off Luke's day, looks like he's having some issues with some of the bigger drones, with Luke looking absolutely furious. The reason for Luke's anger is Luke's hat that they're currently holding out of his reach. And as much as the boy tries, he's just too short to grab his hat back. To add insult to injury, they toss it up in a very rickety-looking tree before walking off.
Luke grumbles angrily before climbing up the tree to retrieve his hat.]
[Action 3 - 307 Miller Street]
[Something's bothering Luke and he can't quite put his finger on what's wrong. So he's going to pay a visit to someone who might actually be able to help him.
After school, Luke will head straight for 307 Miller Street and impatiently knock on the door.]

307 Miller
Hey there, Luke.
307 Miller
Re: 307 Miller
I always have time for you.
Re: 307 Miller
I'm glad...actually, there was something I wanted about, but it's a bit personal.
Re: 307 Miller
[Because comfy couches are the best places for nervous conversations]
Re: 307 Miller
[And Luke heads into the living room, taking a seat. He'll wait for Death to take a seat as well before he starts talking.]
Okay so! Before I start, can you promise that no matter what, you won't anyone else about this? It'll be just between you and me.
Re: 307 Miller
Of course. Not a word.
307 Miller
He takes a deep breath. Here goes.]
You know how we all weren't acting ourselves on Valentine's Day, right? And saying things that uh, we probably should've kept to ourselves?
Well, over Valentine's Day I kept calling Mr. Nigma "papa", as though he was my real father. I was affected by the flowers at the time, because I'm pretty sure I acted similarly to miss Susan. Only she figured out right away what was happening and Mr. Nigma...didn't. At least not until the flowers went away anyway.
Re: 307 Miller
He... wasn't being influenced, was he?
307 Miller
[That he loved him. But Luke shakes his head and continues on.]
Anyway, we talked it out after the event ended. And I even said that I didn't mind him being my father here - and I really did mean it! I mean, he's the closest thing to a father I have here, but...
Ever since I said it, I can't stop thinking about home.
Re: 307 Miller
You miss them a lot, don't you?
307 Miller
I miss them a lot...
I mean, it's not like I don't care about Mr. Nigma any less, but I just can't stop thinking about them!
Re: 307 Miller
Re: 307 Miller
It's really strange, you know? I've never thought I'd have another person that I felt as close to as my papa, and Mr. Nigma has already done so much for me.
[There's the Professor too, but...]
It's not weird, is it? To think of the people here as part of your family too?
Re: 307 Miller
I think, with everything that happens here, it can only help to find a family.
307 Miller
But now? ...I'm still not any closer to the answer then I was when I first got here. But I think I really like it, this odd family.
I'm glad I got to be part of it, and that I got to meet you as well.
Re: 307 Miller
307 Miller
And I agree, I like all of us being together now.
Re: 307 Miller
307 Miller
What's your family like?
Re: 307 Miller
Actually, the town sent me a picture of them if you want to see.

Re: 307 Miller
This is... a bit old. Destiny there's my big brother. He's a bit stuffy, but he's always been there. Dream is next after me... he doesn't look like this any more... a lot happened. It's been a long time since I saw Destruction. He wound up taking up painting, of all things. Desire and Despair are twins. It's no surprise they've always been closest to each other. And Delirium... she has bad days, but she's a sweet kid, really.
You can... kinda see why the family here doesn't seem so different.
