[Action; Morning]
[When Karina wakes up today, she's back to normal. The sheets that replaced the skin of her arms and legs are gone, and with them the holes in her memory. It's as if they were never there in the first place, save for her remembering everything that happened. And the surgery, and the time she spent recovering...
She stares at her arms for a moment, just letting it all sink in, before breaking down into sobs of relief. She's...she's alive, somehow, and...
...and she got princess-carried. By the Captain.
Um.
That takes the wind out of her for a moment, but she decides not to let that little fact get her down. At least it wasn't Barnaby this time, right?
And that thought drifts off to another one: Kotetsu. Suddenly she remembers the moment she found out he had been droned, and her spirits sag. He's...gone. He's been gone for far too long for it to be temporary, like what had happened to her before.
She doesn't know how to feel about it. On one hand, he's gone, probably never to return. On the other hand, that means he's safe, back home in Sternbild, where he belongs. Yes, he's still saving people there, still keeping the peace.
And that means it's up to her, now, to keep the peace in Mayfield to the best of her ability.
She glances at her Liquid Freezing Guns, and smiles. It's small and soft, but it's there.
That's right. She's a Hero. And Heroes protect lives and keep the peace, wherever they are.
"Why are you a Hero?" she'd once asked someone once upon a time. His answer propels her, now, to stand up, cross the room and pick up her Freezing Guns.]
Because I want to save people.
[Phone; filtered to the Captain]
...hey. Thanks for the rescue back there. You okay?
[Action; around town]
[Karina can be found patrolling around town, her Freezing Guns held in a makeshift holster (aka her belt). Occasionally she'll probably stop by the flower shop and just...stay there, looking at the flowers for a while, as if she wants to buy some for someone who wouldn't be able to appreciate them, but she'll tear herself away after a moment.]
