[1. Early Morning - Yagami Household - Open to Housemates and Close CR]

[If one would enter the living room of the household, one would find drone-Vita looking curiously at her "mama", trying to get her up. Hayate was in a state of disarray, her clothing shorn off, pants around her ankles and shirt unbuttoned as she lay on the couch with a melted ice pack on her head. It was like she had tried to cure something and wound up sprawled.]

Not now Vita honey, you need to get cereal for yourself...

[Clearly the stress had finally gotten to Hayate, and she had gone out drinking like a fish, as attributed to the slight smell from her as well. Bother her?]


[2. Outside - Benny Road]

[Hayate had forced herself out of her sprawled state, took a shower and is looking better, but there's deep circles under her eyes like she hadn't slept all night, or just was suffering from the mother of all headaches. She's struggling to do her laundry when her face turns green and she vomits into the bushes.]

Ugh... okay... maybe drinking five boilermakers was a bad idea...

[ Vita's drone is pretty good about answering the door, even if Hayate is out. When she steps in and sees the hot mess on the couch, she looks at first concerned, but that is before she approaches and takes in the smell of alcohol...

Then nothing can hold back her sigh. She leans down over the prone figure of her dear friend, hands on her own hips. ] Hayate...

[ Another sigh. ] What am I going to do with you?

[She's joking of course, a good sign that Hayate's retained her humor but she's groaning as she holds onto the melted ice pack, rivulets of water running down her face and dripping off her chin.]

[guiding_starlight]

[ There is something about that smile just now. ] I think I can arrange to cool your head, if that's your request.

[ And Nanoha disappears from view, storming through the house like a woman on a mission (which she was) until she found what she was looking for; a bottle of aspirin and a glass of water.

There she was at the side of the couch again. ] Come on, then. Sit up.

Urgh... dun wanna... [But she did anyhow, sitting up and expecting Nanoha to do something to her. That SMILE you know, it's her 'cool your head' smile. The smile the promises pain even if it's just minor.]

Asprin, woo. My life for an advil though. Stupid stuff hasn't been invented yet.

[guiding_starlight]

[ This is more of a "I told you so" smile. Though she'll get to the actual telling in a bit. First, she tips Hayate's chin up. ] Say 'ah'!

Aaah. [Opening her mouth, she hopes that Nanoha'll let her drink before scolding. Her head was pounding like crazy anyhow.]

[guiding_starlight]

[ Of course she'll wait! It would just be wasted effort otherwise. Hayate will get two pills and a drink of water before Nanoha sets the items aside. ] There.

Now... how do you want your eggs?

Scrambled if you don't mind. Ugh... that's the last time I go binging like that...

[Holding her head, she rubbed it painfully.] What time is it?

[guiding_starlight]

Way past breakfast. [ Walking around the couch, toward the kitchen. ] And past time for jogging... [ Which is the reason she stopped by. ]

[ It won't take long for the smell of food to fill the air. Can't leave the drones to settle for toast and cold cereal this morning. ]

Oh crap... my work'll be calling me sometime soon then. Ugh... [She held her head as she sat up fully, rubbing her head as she reached down and stepped out of her pants, stumbling into the bathroom.

After relieving herself, she stumbled down, looking half-presentable as she buttoned up her shirt.]

Sorry you had to see me this way, Nanoha. [She rubbed Vita's hair and the drone smiled up at her.]

If you worked on Friday, just call in. [ Why yes, Nanoha just suggested skipping out on her responsibilities. Apron-clad, she starts layering the plates with food and setting the table up. ]

[Hayate gave her a surprised look before sitting down.] Well that's a first for everything... but you're probably right.

[guiding_starlight]

You need to rest up. [ She takes nothing for herself, since she already had a meal earlier, but does sit down regardless. ] Beside, if I wanted you to suffer with that hangover I would have taken you jogging in the sun, first.

[lil_tanuki]

Oh god please spare me, Nanoha... Wait you did. Thanks. [Rubbing her forehead she stabbed a egg with her fork and nipped at it.]

Have you seen Sasami? Maybe she already left for outside...

[saint_sami]

[Oh, speaking of Sasami, she's going to finally appear - having seen Hayate in her state and seeing the various times the rest of her "family" had been in that state, she just let her sleep.]

Hayate, are you up now? Haya... te?

[she's going to blink as she sees both Hayate and Nanoha together.]

Oh! I didn't know we had guests!

[guiding_starlight]

[ Nanoha was silent as the girl had entered the room to spy them all seated at the dinner table, plates out for every chair except her own. She smiles, shooting Hayate a knowing look.

"I have, now." ]

Sorry for the surprise visit. [ The woman rises from her seat. ] You must be Sasami.

[lil_tanuki]

Ah heh, hey Sasami. I guess you caught us at a moment. C'mon, have some breakfast.

[She felt a little sheepish, knowing that Sasami had probably seen her all strung out on the couch and Nanoha had to mother her like this.]

[saint_sami]

Ah, it's nice to meet you! [Sasami gives Nanoha a quick bow before joining the two.]

Are you one of Hayate's friends?

[guiding_starlight]

Nice to meet you, too! [ Giving the girl a bow of her own before sitting. ]

And yes, you're right. We've known each other for quite a long time. My name is Nanoha. [ Hayate miiight have mentioned her neighbor at some point. ]

She's an adorable kid, and keeps the house in order when I'm not doing so. Very responsible too actually.

[Hayate reached out and rubbed Sasami's hair, grinning.]

Yeep! [Sasami giggles as Hayate rubs her hair, blushing at her compliment.]

Hayateeee!

It sounds like there is a thing or two to be learned from her. [ She gives Sasami a wink, to show that she's... mostly joking. The presence of the girl does make it difficult to talk serious matters, but at least her friend appears to be doing better. ]

You'll probably be seeing a lot more of me, now that I've decided to step up Hayate's training. [ As of when? About ten seconds ago. ]

[Crap. She hated it when that happened. Well, grin and bear it she supposed.]

Not too much to learn, just random things here and there. And Nanoha's a great trainer no matter how tough she is on that.

... girlfriend troubles. Baz and I separated and we haven't spoken in weeks.

Oh no! What happened? You guys were getting along so well!

Lots of lying everywhere. [Hayate sighed and rested on the fence.] I pulled a prank that basically accidentally forced Baz into thinking she took advantage of me, and she's been in love with someone else while keeping 'relationship' together out of duty.

It's one big mess and I'm to blame too.

Oh, wow... I'm sorry. That sounds terrible.

It's not the healthiest relationship, no. So we decided to separate. It's been weeks since we did and I resorted to drinking last night.

...Is there anything I can do?

Rub my back and cut me off if I decide to drink five boilermakers again.
