No, she didn't appoint a second in command that I'm aware of. If Mr. Janson wishes to take charge however.

But from what I gathered from meeting, General Armstrong was it? I do not think she would be pleased if Bingo night halted because of a droning.

It is currently the only logical thing to do. I would not want a drone walking in on something like Bingo.... [And he says it with a complete dead pan voice. He's really interested in that bingo stuff and totally not what it really means, obviously.]

My qualifications are that I have been raised to someday possibly lead an entire country. I know how to plan.

The only cons to allowing me to try and help run things for the temporary time is that I am new and thus inexperienced with Mayfield. And I probably do not know any of the other members.

She'll be taken care of I assure you but in a less hositle manner.

At least you're humble enough to admit your cons. No matter the situration has been secure and as long as Oliver - General Armstrong's items remind in this household, she'll return back to normal eventually.

We should figure out the resistance. You mentioned you where associated with the Rebel Alliance back home. Now, logically with Olivier out of commission, that falls to the two of us.
Now, where I may be a rebel. I'm no leader.

Though, I'm fairly certain if you're up for this. There's someone in the Resistance whom is.

I've led squadrons before. I wasn't one of the top generals or anything, but I've got more experience with Mayfield than any of the higher ups here. So I can do it, for now.

Only if everyone else has the option too. Not a fan of leaving people behind.

But yeah. Even if things are calming down at home, they can always use good pilots.

I've trained a few squadrons, but nothing compares to experience. We only have so many people that were there for the worst of it.

I know we've met in passing several times, but I don't believe we've ever properly introduced ourselves. My name is Riza Hawkeye. I am a First Lieutenant in the same military as Major General Armstrong.

What started this war the both of you where fighting back home?

I would assume you refer to the uprising and not the rebellion- which was primarily an annihilation campaign.

[There is a quiet tension in her voice at the mention of the annihilation campaign, but it fades quickly.]

We found that the upper brass of our government was wholly corrupt. They were planning a mass alchemical sacrifice of everyone in the country, to create a Philosopher's Stone. Colonel Mustang and the rest of our team, along with Major General Armstrong and her brother, as well as the Elric brothers- many people took part in working to stop the atrocity from taking place.

The Philosopher's Stone? [He sounds familair with it just surpised at it being mentioned] Since when in the name of sam hill does that need human sacrifices to begin with?

Ah...well, to be very honest, I don't have a firm understanding of alchemy beyond the very basics.

I don't know when or why it requires human sacrifice.

[She pauses, and then sighs.]

And to be honest, I'm not sure I want to know. The Philosopher's Stone may as well be as unspeakable as the other alchemical taboos. The cost is too great.
