I guess you could say that. But usually it's news reports or something like that. This is actually the first time I heard anything over the radio.

Huh. Good to know. Does that mean anything, you think?

I've heard stories about things that happened before I came here. Then there was that whole mess after I came here about the town being bombed....

Whatever it means it can't be good.

Back up a little. The town was bombed?

[ He's really new. ]

It was back in November. By the end of the week people were either dieing from radiation poisoning or being attacked by those zombie cannibals.

Didn't anyone tell you?

Not exactly. Usually we get hint about things that are gonna happen through leaked phone conversations. But it does mean somethin' is gonna happen, and probably not somethin' good, either.

It really depends on what kind of sadistic mood the people in charge are in. This sounds like it could be pretty bad though. I'd be careful if a carnival does pop up.

Well, this kid named Hiccup put out a call about making weapons, and you can find guns and hunting knives at the hardware store.

Frankly, it's about time. There's only so many games of chess I can play in the park before it starts to get old.

Yeah, well, I'd rather not see the town come crumbling down while we're stuck RG. [ If something major is going down, he'd... really prefer to have some means of fighting. Or of running and watching from a distance, at least. ]

As long as it crumbles, who cares where we are? It's the town that's keeping us this limited, anyway.
