My ship has a medical lab with doors that can be sealed quickly. The medical tools are missing, but the design is still there if you would like a more advanced place to work. As for samples, do you need animated or dismembered?

My recommendation then would be to contact one of the spandex wearing people then. They seem to be the most indestructible and may be able to get the freshest samples. If you like I can move the Nadesico to be over the Hospital so you can interface the computers.

Primitive loading dock. Used for deliveries from ground vehicles.

I don't have medical equipment but we can move the hospital gear into an isolation lab and you can make use of the computer systems and the fact that there is heavy armor.
