04 - ...I'd rather be an uncontrollable monster.
[A - 2239 Stevens]
[Waking up this morning is surprisingly pleasant at first, as Hajime finds himself in a nice, comfortable bed that is a change from the couch he's been sleeping on. That's his first clue something's wrong, and he sits up to find himself in the master bedroom, which is definitely not where the couch is. He sits up bolt upright to figure out what's going on, and he catches sight of himself in the dresser mirror.
There's quite a bit of cursing in the Undead language once Hajime realizes exactly what he's looking at. He jumps out of the bed, intending to rush downstairs and see what's lying on the couch he fell asleep on...and then he realizes exactly what it is Kreutzer sleeps in.
No way is he going out in that. By this time, he's stirred up some of Kreutzer's dolls, but he ignores them as he starts rummaging through the closet for something he can wear. No way is he even touching any of Kreutzer's favored frilly dresses. He digs around until he finds some things of his that haven't been moved out of the master bedroom yet, and he puts those on. He's bigger than Kreutzer, so he's been forced to roll up the sleeves of his shirt and legs of his pants, as well as find a good belt, before he feels comfortable in moving around. He pulls Kreutzer's hair back into a horrible ponytail, too--got to get that out of his way.
With that taken care of, he rushes downstairs, dolls trailing behind, to find himself--or at least, his body--sleeping on the couch as usual. He kills his initial instinct to ask Human Undead how he unsealed himself and instead goes over to nudge the body awake.]
Hey! Hey!
[Oh, man, his voice even sounds like Kreutzer's...]
Wake up!
[Frustrated, he whacks his body in the shoulder. Not like he's worried about hurting his body; Kreutzer's not strong enough for that.]
[B - Grocery Store]
[And Hajime has somehow decided he'd brave the wilds of Mayfield today. He's got a few errands in mind. Nothing too fancy; he's just shopping for a few essentials before he's going to go back home and try to pretend this isn't happening.]

A
...was she talking to herself? Kreutzer could hear her own voice and decided nothing was wrong...
...but then something hit her! That gets her off of the...couch?! But that's where Hajime sl-
OH. DEAR. GOD.)
HAJIME! What have you done?!
(She even sounded like Hajime. Gross...)
Re: A
What I've done?
Oh, no. This has to be your fault.
[He tries to cross his arms, but hey that's kind of difficult now with the...where's he supposed to put his arms with those there? Arms at his sides now. Easier that way. His scowl, however, remains.]
no subject
(Oh no...she's pissed.)
If it were my fault, I would never have given you my own body and I would never have taken yours!
Second of all, what on earth are you wearing?! Those clothes don't go together, they're much too big for me and in the name of all that is sacred, what have you done to my hair!?
no subject
Well, what makes you think I would have done this?! Your body is pathetic and weak. You can't even fight for yourself! And I've only chosen these clothes so that I can move around without getting tangled in one of your ridiculous dresses! And your hair was just getting in the way.
no subject
Must you bring that up again?! Not every problem can be solved by punching and kicking, despite whatever you're accustomed to.
I have more casual attire, but of course you wouldn't know where to look for those. At least I know how to dress you properly...
(Gotta give her that; she makes your clothes.)
no subject
It's worked out just fine for me, thank you very much!
[Clenching fists now. He's totally thinking about hitting her; he knows Kreutzer's body won't do that much damage to his--and he doesn't think she'd have the guts to hit him back lest something happen to her body.]
I've never seen you in pants. I want pants, woman. You can move around in pants.
no subject
(That's one thing he has right: she'd never hit her own body in this situation.)
Skirts can be casual, as can the occasional shorts. You'll not be seen wearing that monstrosity at all, now go upstairs and change!
no subject
[This is driving him nuts; he can't stand the sound of her voice like this. He rolls his eyes and tries once again to awkwardly cross his arms once she demands he change.]
You'll have to make me.
[And don't think he won't call in those dolls you're so fond of, Kreutzer. He's pretty sure that if "Kreutzer" starts yelling for non-lethal help, "she'll" get it.]
no subject
(Kreutzer knows Hajime would just love to sick Kreutzer's own dolls against her; he'd revel in it...but no, she's not going to give you that chance. You'd better believe that she's fuming because of this...
...so much that the emotional distress causes Hajime's belt to be summoned. She looks at it with growing curiosity...yup, this had to be something he used to transform into Chalice. She had to wonder...
...just as she thought; the cards are in the pocket. Kreutzer holds both of them between her fingers.)
Change now. Or I destroy your cards.
no subject
...he's also actually not that concerned about her threat to destroy the cards since they're pretty well indestructible despite appearances, but still. This is a huge problem. He's keeping his voice as calm and level as possible, but it is not easy.]
...you have no idea what you're playing with there.
[And now he will attempt to get her to put the cards down with a slight bit of the truth.]
Those cards help seal Joker's destructive impulses. You destroy those, and you'll be a bigger ball of rage than you are right now. I told you, I'm a creature of battle. My body is designed for mindless anger. You're probably just feeling the effects now. Undead hormones and all.
[So hard to stay calm...he wonders if he could have one of those dolls grab the cards before Kreutzer can try anything funny.]
no subject
But despite her own thick skull, even she can catch on to how serious he's being. She might not be too fascinated about feeling
zombieundead hormones or whatever, but the cards and belt are very fascinating...unhealthily fascinating.)Then tell me how they function; I must know.
no subject
But hey, at least she's no longer harping on about making him change clothes.]
You lack the willpower needed to use those cards. Their power would consume you.
[He's quite tense now. He doesn't trust those dolls, and he figures if he screams, they'll hear Kreutzer's voice and come help anyway. He lunges for Kreutzer, intending to take back those Rouse Cards. He's hoping that the suddenness of the strike and his sheer experience will be enough.]
no subject
You have no idea what I'm capable of. The biggest mistake you can make is doubting me.
(Kreutzer reflexively pulls her hand back and brings it across Hajime's face...oh crap.
She just slapped herself. Hard. This would have serious repercussions...but slapping Hajime with a good arm just might be worth it.)
no subject
...is his nose bleeding? It's bleeding. He forces himself to chuckle a bit at that realization, gingerly touching it and pulling his hand back to look at the red blood. He's suffered worse, and he's got a pretty high tolerance for pain. He hurts, but he's not backing down.]
And you call me a mindless brute. More proof you cannot handle those cards.
...and your slapping technique is still quite awful.
1/2
...watch me.
2/2
Re: 2/2
There's only one thing he can really do now, isn't there? And he is FUMING over the necessity of this.]
LEAF! GET THE OTHERS AND GET OVER HERE! NOW!
[And look, a horde of dolls come in there at "Kreutzer's" call! And Hajime's unafraid to channel a bit of a Kreutzer impersonation of his own.]
Look, this cretin is back, and he's dared to strike me directly! I demand you drive him from my home right this instant!
no subject
But since this isn't really the best time to be talking semantics, Kreutzer decides to jump through the nearest window to make her escape. She knows she won the battle this time, though she'd be out of the house for the entire day for a change...she wasn't looking forward to that. At least she had Hajime's cards with her; that'd surely bother him.)
no subject
He looks at one of the dolls. It has guns, he figures that's good enough.]
Follow him for a bit. I want him off of this street--keep shooting.
...just don't kill him. I want him scared.
no subject
And as it turns out, you're a faster runner than she is, so right now she's a faster runner than you are. Just don't mind Kreutzer as she keeps running~
Though she's not too aware of the Fortuner doll you sent to follow her.)
no subject
Get me some ice for my face and a clean towel.
[Pauses and thinks.]
And breakfast. Anything but an omelet. Or cereal. Maybe waffles. The fattiest, unhealthiest waffles you can make.
[Because he will totally try to ruin your figure now, Kreutzer!
Meanwhile, Fortuner is gaining...and has engaged in a few warning shots, just as "Kreutzer" instructed. WELCOME TO HAJIME'S WORLD, KREUTZER.]
no subject
In the mean time, she's figured out that Fortuner is after her now. Kreutzer might be more scared if she didn't know exactly how that doll worked, but guess what? She does.
She also knows that because Fortuner has excellent aim, she could've already shot Kreutzer by now. Trying to give her a scare, Hajime? She's still running, but she knows exactly what this is all about.)
no subject
Unfortunately for Kreutzer's body, he's following this up with eating what must surely be 3000 calories worth of waffles dripping with butter and syrup.
Fortuner seems to decide that she's harassed Chalice long enough, and so she breaks off her chase and hurries back home to see what that horrible brute has done to poor, poor Kreutzer.
Good luck figuring out how to get back to normal human Hajime, Kreutzer.]
