[After her trip to the beach, Clover completely failed to notice the packages waiting for her back home. Until today, that is!

In a twist that is actually not a twist at all by virtue of not being surprising, the first one she opens nets her a punch to the face. Awesome. Great sense of humour, Mayfield. Moving right the hell on, and the next package contains...

... A beefy furry arm? Or, well, a picture of it, at any rate. Clover has a bad feeling about this - she's no furry! - but curiosity gets the best of her, she touches the picture, and... suddenly, the already small weight she's carrying becomes insignificant.

Don't tell her...

Oh, right, there's still one thing left to open. Careful now, Clo. No sudden movements...]


[Action; Stone Street]

[If you're outside, you might just notice Clover running out her front door with little apparent regard for what lies in front of her, judging by how she nearly knocked the poor door off its hinges in her rush to get out.

It's hard not to be in a hurry when you're being chased by a horde of angry bees.]


[Phone]

[Later, after she's gotten out of her predicament, Clover decides a phone call would be a good idea.] Yo, guys. I just wanna--

[Wait, what was she even going to say? Was she just gonna go "Hey, Equius, when you were here before, we sparred a bunch and now I'm freakishly strong again so we could give that another go!"? "Fang, get your ass over here and watch me knock out this idiot drone in one punch"? Ugh, she really should have thought this through better, she tells herself as her free hand idly slides off the back of her neck and, without thinking, she smacks the table in--

[Hungary's voice rings loudly from the kitchen window.] Mind the flower bed on your way out, dear!

[Unfortunately (?), Clover is too busy getting the hell away to, well, reply or anything.

Only when she comes back, clearly having been attacked by the bees a couple of times, does she greet Hungary with a deep scowl.]

Didn't step on your fuckin' flowers.

That's good then, isn't it? [She starts a small fire on the stove, producing little, if enough smoke to keep the bees away.] Are you unhurt?

I'm fine. [She doesn't... want to talk about it very much.] And the bees are gone now, thanks.

I suppose I shouldn't be worried unless they sting your tongue, or something like that.

Then that would be bad.

Oh, sure, it's not like people've died from bees stingin' anywhere else!

[balaton]

[She hopes the smoke stains won't be too hard to get out, but what does that matter in a house with a collapsed staircase?] Unless you're allergic...

But you seem rattled. I wish you'd sit down, dear.

[Sit down? Nope, she looks like she just had a horrible realisation:] Oh, shit, can the guys in charge make ya allergic to stuff?

[She goes quiet, because it's a terrifying possibility, but a valid one all the same.]

Were you around when they herded some of us into the factory?

... When their revival machine or whatever broke? Sure was. [Clover got off easy compared to most people, but the experience was still pretty awful for her.]

[She gives Clover a critical look, as if for checking for her well being right now.] They did things to us, of course. I can't imagine this might be beyond their reach. [The effect has gone away, but her Hungary's hair remains white.]

[Clover responds with an overacted, poker-faced shrug, as if to tell Hungary "don't worry about me, yo," or something equally nonchalant.]

Doesn't look like it's what they were goin' for this time, though.

You'll be careful all the same, right? [She likes the girl. She's a tough one, and she reminds Hungary of herself a fair bit when she was much younger.]

Yeah, yeah, as careful as can be! [Technically true...?]

I'm sure you can take care of yourself [moves to the window to air the kitchen out, sneezing at the remainder of the smoke.] But if you need me to show you a trick or two...
