This isn't as bad as I thought it would be, after everyone kept telling horrible stories about having to kill each other! It even seems like fun!

I don't think we should try to make anyone cry, though. That's too mean. Pranks are supposed to be a way to have fun with your friends, not hurt anybody's feelings.

Downtown Mayfield:

[Shirley can be found in many of the shops around Mayfield, busily searching for any number of things! As a housewife, it's her job to do the shopping, but she seems to be looking for more than just the essentials today. She's as friendly and happy as usual, but there's definitely something guarded about her.

If someone comes close to her, she'll offer them a smile and a slightly cautious:]

[Shirley laughs a little, though, genuinely good-naturedly. She feels a little guilty, but she can't waste such a great opportunity.

She reaches out, offering him some of the things she's been carrying.]

Can you hold these for just a second, please?

[And of course he'll take them, without a second thought. Why would he suspect this nice young lady he's only met 3 times?]

[She means that honestly, which is why she mentally apologizes for what she's about to do. She even wonders if she's about to break her own rule about being 'too mean'...

But as soon as she's handed off her items to him, Shirley quickly bends down and gives his pants a good, surprisingly hard yank -- down to his ankles.]

[Speechless. Speechless, and motionless, and a whole lot more -lesses than he can process at the moment, mixed with a look he's giving to Shirley that clearly asks 'why would you do that'.]

[And going bright-red, on top of everything. It wasn't as though he didn't have a great physique, but being in his underwear on a public street wasn't on any daily itinerary he'd ever made.]

[Shirley takes them back without any resistance, trying very, very hard not to laugh. Part of her still felt guilty, but she had to admit, that reaction was pretty funny!]

[Just going to be fixing his pants here! Fixing them in no time. And then he'll heft his garden hose again, scratching his cheek lightly with a finger. And then he'll ask, looking at Shirley out of the corner of his eye.]

I got this note saying I had to prank five people or something would happen, and you were one of them. I didn't want to take my chances on finding out what the consequences would be if I didn't do what they wanted. I'm sorry, Keith. I hope you can forgive me, but I'll understand if you can't.

[It will be a long moment while his heart stops going a mile a minute and the redness in his face dies down a bit, but he'll set a hand on her shoulder with a slight grin.]
