1. [Action :: Morning :: Streets of Mayfield :: Open]

[Tyve has managed to steal a nominally comfortable t-shirt and pair of pants from her drone!brother and is jogging around town. After all, exercise helps to keep a soldier (Even one who isn't full-fledged) in tip-top shape. And it gives her time to think. Feel free to run with her or ask why in gods name she's running so early in the morning.]

2. [Action :: Afternoon :: Shooting Range :: Open]

[Have a disgruntled girl dressed in a long-sleeved blouse, mid-length skirt and saddle shoes at the range today. Apparently while she was out running, drone!mom thought today was perfect for laundry and her usual uniform is in the wash. At least there's shooting to take her mind off the travesty. She's noticed a few drone stares but nothing she can't handle as she settles in and loads her rifle. She steadies herself, letting the butt rest against her shoulder and pulls the trigger. The first one is off target. Tsking at herself she adjusts the sights of the gun before shooting again. This time the bullet hits closer to the mark.

Feel free to talk to her or give her tips between shots. Just don't bring up the outfit.]

3. [Action :: Late Afternoon :: 727 Anderson :: Open]

[After a productive day of shooting, Tyve does the responsible thing and cleans out her gun. She had planned to do it in the house, but the hassle of the drones is annoying enough that she's currently on the front porch. She's humming to herself as she carefully clears out the barrel of the rifle, looking rather at ease with this activity. She won't say no to a little conversation right now if you're passing by.]

Ah, has anyone been beyond the edges of this town? I'm curious as to how large this place is. Also, how dangerous is it outside of the town? [After all, she wants to be aware of any dangers she may encounter as she continues to explore Mayfield.]

Ah...you used to be able to get a lot farther, once in a while they show us a town called 'Westport', which is basically a slaughter/warzone, but they rarely let us go there.

As it is you go a certain distance and you'll loop back around eventually.

Got some target practice in today?

[Warzone, huh? Tyve doesn't particularly like the sound of that.] Westport... Hn. Good to know. I'll take care to avoid it should a path open there for any reason.

Looping around.. [Sigh.] As to be expected from this prison, I suppose.

[She starts a bit, having been so engrossed in her cleaning and humming. Though she seems to sound relatively cheerful. Maybe gun cleaning is relaxing for her. Or just being back in her element.]

Yessir! I wish I'd known there had been a range earlier. I need to keep sharp on these things, you know.

Yeah, that place is real bad news. And you're welcome, things are changing around here, but I'm pretty sure that part's still the same.

[ A massively armored figure watches her shoot, and rumbles, carrying his own cannon-like weapon ]

You aren't a bad shot, Mortal.

If I'd known you'd managed to get your hands on a firearm I would have mentioned it.

[It's a useful skill. He's not comfortable with her engaging in active combat, but target shooting is good.]

[An (apparently) small child comes strolling by on the sidewalk. She glances over, slows to a stop, and seems to ponder something. Whatever it is, she seems to come to the quick decision to step toward the porch, just enough to be within hearing.]

Um, 'scuse me, miss?

[And look who's staring through an open window, from the comfortable indoors.] Hey!

Hopefully the same as opposed to worse.

Alright then, si-Mr. Ken. [She will never stop with the formalities ever.]

Well...I've been rather good at keeping it on the down-low I suppose.

[Tyve continues cleaning her gun as she decides to bring up something that's been bothering her marginally over the past week or two. Now seems as good a time as any.] Um...Major? I do apologize for my outburst during that holiday with the flowers a while back. I wasn't myself. The flowers and all...I hope that this doesn't effect my competence in your eyes.

[Mortal? What? More to the point, what do they seem to be holding a massive cannon?]

Ah..Thank you..Sir? I was one of the best shots in the Academy where I'm from. [Hey, why not take a moment to brag...]

We wouldn't want your "mother" tidying it up on you.

Those flowers did a number on everyone, I think. Either way... everyone has bad days. I've always been more interested in getting people back on their feet than judging.

[Pauses from her cleaning to look at the child close to the porch.]

Yes? Did you need help with something?

Kinda. D'you mind if I watch what you're doing? It's a...um... [She snaps her fingers a few times, searching for the word. Firearms are rare where she comes from; conflicts are settled with concussive lasers instead.

So she's curious, now that there's an example so close.] ...a "gun", right?

[Sighs.] Just ike she tidied all the laundry at the most inconvenient time today. I had to go to the range all floofed up like I was going to a party. [She makes the most disdainful face at the memory.]

This is true. Ah, I guess I'm still trying to get over the strangeness of this place. [Well this went well. That's a relief. And now that that's over with...]

So I've joined the resistance here. [Going from one topic to another. Typical teenager.]

[Tyve blinks a bit in surprise before nodding. She needs to remember that other worlds might not have the technology she does.]

Yes. This is a gun. A rifle to be more specific.

Most children don't hold an interest in the mundane aspects of taking care of a gun, but if you'd like to watch me clean it, that's perfectly fine. [She tilts her head to the side towards the stock and butt of the rifle.] Best if you stand on this side if you're going to watch. Here is your first lesson in safety. You should never stand in front of where the gun shoots.

[Tyve pauses a bit, sort of jogging in place as she tries to pinpoint where the greeting has come from.] Hmm..? Oh! Good morning, miss Clover!

[Doesn't smile as per usual, but sounds in rather good spirits. Is Tyve a morning person? Absolutely.]

Oh, I'm older than I look, miss. [She says it idly, not expecting to be believed; she didn't look her age even when she was still a ghost, pale and cold and able to walk through walls. Perhaps it's technically not true anymore, now that the town has returned her to a human state - given her a living body that can age as well as breathe, eat, sleep.

It's a thought to be shelved for another time; Murasa ambles up to the porch, avoiding where the gun is pointing and standing where suggested.] Gotcha, thanks. ....I don't remember the last time I saw one up close like this. [She eyes the barrel.] It looks a little like a tiny cannon.

[Sailors had those mounted on their ships, she remembers reluctantly, not that it had helped them.]

Oh it will always get worse here.

Your grouping could be tighter. Try to relax your shoulders when you fire.

[Sir Hellsing is out at the range today as well, burning off steam with her sidearm after yesterday's droning fiasco. She's been watching Tyve for some time now, something in the girl reminding her of herself.]
