Hello, hello this is Emmett Brown. I'd like to offer my most most sincere apologies. Especially to my displaced family for avoiding them during this time of sheer insanity. My mind was put in a temporary hallucination state that I'm not going to get into the details of.

Regardless, now that my state of mind has returned I'd like to ask all of you on this network of circuitry who was all effected by the latest phenomena and how.

[Emmett notices the package that has arrived for him in the mail and is at the table. Staring for a moment staring at Emmett Buccaneer]

[ Walking by you, Emmett. She notices the package on the table. Receiving personal mail seems to be a rare occasion nowadays. ]

Did you get something in the mail?

Has the name Emmett Buccaneer labeled on so I'm theoretically assuming... [Shows some displeasure with that. Why was this place trying to rename him?] Isn't it enough that father had to rename the family during The War?

They certainly pulled all the stops to make us look like a real family unit. But another name change... is he not your biological father?

Great lengths indeed. The one here? Course not he's a drone. Quite frankly I'm glad my father isn't here. [There's a pause but as much as Judge Brown was harsh he did love Emmett]

[She sees the package and the name on it, and huffs.]

They really need to get me a new husband, one who actually knows they don't belong in this place.

[Emmett is apparently not happy about the name change as he keeps staring at the label but looks up when Olivier speaks]

What do you think they packed in here? A bomb? [Rolling his eyes]

Oh, I highly doubt that, unless you made bombs at home. This is your, uhm, gift from the Postman for enduring the latest event. Most people call them regains. We're not sure why we get them, but they appear after major events.

What have bombs ever done to help humanity? All they do is cause destruction and make people lie about their heritage.

Mmmmm... Judging by the size of the package it's either clothing, my family ablum or a book.

[Starts to unopen the package. He'll ponder the why the Postman does this later]

It's always nice to have clothes from home, much better than what they have here in my opinion, but then again, the only thing in your closet isn't dresses and sweater sets.

[She waits fro him to open it.]

[Emmett looks down at his clothes] I'm the last person that you should talk too about fashion but I don't see much of a differnce in approximately twenty years time. Wouldn't surpise me if the Great Depression has anything to do with that.

[Brown opens the box] Great scott! It's a book! One of the books in my to read pile from back home. [The book reads, H.G. Wells The Time Machine]

Even the women's clothes?

[She looks at the book.]

Somehing you enjoy, I take it?

[Emmett nods]

Actually, I never got to reading this piece of material before I found myself here.

And with the sheer lack of science fiction in this town - [He looks really happy to have the book]

Well, it looks like you've got some reading to do then. What's it about.

[She is trying to take an interest in these people she has to live with.]

Honestly, I have circumstantially no idea. [Flipping the book over reads the back] "The Time Traveler for so it will be convenient to speak of him, was expounding a recondite matter to us. His grey eyes shone and twinkled, and his usually pale face was flushed and animated. The fire burned brightly, and the soft radiance of the incandescent lights in the lilies of silver caught the bubbles that flashed and passed in our glasses..." [Emmett's eyes seem to light up something bright]

Sounds very [She pauses to find a fitting word.] descriptive. So it'll be good if you like that kind of thing.

[She more of a straight and to the point kind of person, but she rarely reads for pleasure.]

I do. Why Science Fiction captures the imagination on a scientific level.

Then enjoy it before the next event starts, it might make things hectic. Not to mention, not everything this place sends you is a good memory from home.

[She doesn't mean to destroy his good mood, but to warn him.]

[There's a pause and a small gulp] Great scott. I hope this place doesn't send my father here.

I take it your relationship with him isn't a good one?

[Shakes his head while looking down and then looks back up]

That's the main reason I was so glad I found myself here.

I don't think you can get relatives as regains, pets you can. Hawkeye got her dog, but I've never heard of someone getting a person.

He may be brought her the same way you were, but if the relationship is bad, I will watch out for you.

Afriad I don't have a pet. Pa always thought an animal would destory the furniture. [Emmett brightens at the mention of a dog]

[Before that smile melts into a frown and Emmett almost looks like a turtle retreating into his shell] I hope not.

[There's a moment of silence and his head moves back to place] You know as strange as we all are, coming from our different worlds, I'm starting to feel like you're family.

[Repressing motherly urge to ruffle his hair.]

Well, someone's gotta look out after you, and since we're in the same house, it works out if I do. Besides, you seem like a good kid.

[Brown nods] Works out indeed. [He looks rather stiff as he resists hugging her because the family wasn't much on physical and wasn't sure if Olivier was considering she's from an army]

Well, I'm be off. I have some things that need attending too.

[She nods and waves.]

[Oh, that voice sounds familiar. Was that the person from the hospital? Tachikoma feels pretty bad about that...]

Um, hello, Mr. Brown? This is Tachikoma. We met in the hospital a bit ago...

I just wanted to say I'm sorry for trying to smother you with a pillow like that. At the time it sure seemed logical to my programming, but I found out later they messed with my programming then.

So you shouldn't feel bad about avoiding your family and such because lots of people were having strange stuff happening to them!

I've been working on shaking the guilt on having had concerned them.

They where?

Well, then all's well that end's well.

Oh thank goodness, I'd feel bad if you were angry at me. And I'm glad you're feeling better too!

Hopefully nothing like that will happen again.

It's all in the past. I'm glad you're circuitry is fully up and completely and properly functional.

Until, I figure out how this place works, it's probably best to keep your guard up but you have to wonder why they where experimenting on us like that...

Maybe we'll run into each other some time again.

That would be nice!

And I'm not sure about the experimenting either. I was just told it was to help us somehow, but I have no idea how what happened helped...

[Emmett scuffs] Nor do I. Making us all like a bunch of lab rats.

Oh, that's not nice at all! If we're lab rats, than that means they won't tell us the results of the experiments, will they?

That's not fair at all, keeping information to themselves like that!

There's no way of telling..... I hate to be suspicious of their motives.

Oh, I don't think you need to worry about that! Most people around here are always suspicious about stuff going on!

I bet the people who did the experiments took those suspicions under consideration! At least if I was doing experiments, I would make sure to do so, or else you might get some skewed results!

Well, it's not my nature to be suspicious.

Indeed. [Short pause] Do you have any wiring or anything that needs fixing up?
