[Action 1 - Morning, Outside 1487 Kramden Road]

[Aziraphale looks to be in a good mood as he steps out the door, ready to start the day. He looks a little excited to have a package - he's not learnt to be weary of unexpected presents yet. When he opens it to find a single white feather inside he frowns, before with a loud rip two messy white wings emerge from his back. Without having to look back to see what's happened, he very almost swears.]

Oh... blast it all. [Stretching out his wings, he cranes over to have a look at the mess.] I liked this jumper too.

[Action 2 - Dusk, the makeout point]

[Anyone who comes by in the last hour of daylight will be entertained by an over weight middle aged man trying to take off. His over sized pair of wings work, but sustained flight seems like a bit of a work out, if his huffing and panting and frequent pauses to get his breath is any judge.

Eventually he flops down heavily onto a log, deciding that enough is enough.] I'm sure it wasn't this hard in the old days.

Ain't too late. Usually this place is pretty empty, 'cept for drone teenagers in their cars.

And you? [He folds his wings in to get them a little bit out of the way.] And me this time. [He chuckles.] Don't worry, I won't make it a regular thing.

And me, I guess. [It's hard to read this girl - both her face and voice are almost completely deadpan.]

It's fine. I don't own this place or anythin'.

[He's not bothered by that, he just counters it by being even more expressive than normal, smiling brighter in the hope that she might pick it up.]

Thank you. They're rather a pain, I have to confess, but it's nice to have something of my old self back.

You got wings, but ya can't fly? Or are ya just outta practice?

Ah. Out of practice I fear. I don't often have a chance to stretch my wings at home.

Not a lotta room in Mayfield, but if you're worried about people carin', they won't. There's all kindsa people here, a guy with wings ain't any different.

My friend got his back as well, so I'm not alone. They do get in the way, though, whether or not people mind that I have them out.

Does everyone got wings where you're from or somethin'? And I guess they would. They're pretty big.

[Well, that depends on where you class from...] All Angels have them. Demons too.

A-ah, well, I suppose technically not in this place, but yes.

I... [She doesn't even know what to say.] I had no idea you all really existed.

[Aziraphale smiles at her. He's used to this reaction.] Most people don't. And it's entirely possible that where you come from we don't.

[Not that she has much manners, but she realizes that was a pretty rude thing to say.]

I come from a world fulla mages 'n' psychics. Angels are just as possible as anythin' else.

It sounds like an interesting place to live.

[She's silent for a moment.]

...I guess that's one way of puttin' it.

Um. Name's Barton, by the way.

Barton? It's nice to meet you. I'm Aziraphale.

Same. Um, I suppose I oughta let you get back to practicin'.

You don't have to. [He ruffles his wings.] I think I've about done all these old things can handle anyway. But I can let you be if you'd like.

Naw, it's okay. It's a public place, after all. I just come up here to build a fire sometimes, 'n' get outta my crazy house.

[He gives her a sympathetic chuckle.] Got a lot of drones in your family, or are they all just a bit over energetic?

There's no drones in the house, thankfully. But yeah, sometimes Heinz 'n' Gohan can be a little too energetic. It's usually pretty quite up here... despite the drone teens in their cars.

What was it like where you came from? [He understands what it's like to have over enthusiastic housemates, and he comes from a place where he lived alone in blissful peace.]

... I kinda lived on the road, I guess ya can say. By myself.
