event: portal five | the carnival

The fifth portal is in the park, tucked away behind a cluster of trees; as usual, any drones walking past simply ignore it. The cheerful carnival that can be seen on other side of this portal may strike many of you as quite familiar.

The carnival doesn't seem to have changed much since the last time it was open. The street that had been behind the carnival has disappeared, but everything else remains the same, down to the sky looking like it's been completely deleted and replaced by a gaping hole of nothingness. Despite this area being the smallest and most enclosed environment so far outside of the blimp, there are plenty of places to begin your search, from the Ferris Wheel, to the funhouse, to the various rides and stands. Just make sure to avoid the large glitch holes that seem to be all over the place.

Oh, and you might want to speed this one up, because you're not alone here. The faceless drones from the blimp are having fun at the carnival as well, queuing up for the rides and playing the games. They'll ignore you for now, but they're not the only ones you have to worry about. Here and there, you may catch glimpses of hideous, mutated drones...and they don't seem very happy to see you.

[ Yes, indeed very mature, Rin. At least much more mature than the boy who just finished beating up one of the drones just because he wasn't allowed to nap in peace. Although it wasn't the normal drones' fault, but the mutated ones. ]

Geez, you didn't have to beat him up that badly. [ Or her. Hard to tell. ]

As for what I'm doing, isn't it obvious? I'm seeing if this fluctuation in magic is worth investigating. I have to figure it out before that stupid witch does.

....witch? [ The only one he could even think of in those terms of would be Chrome Dokuro; if only because she was with Rokudou Mukuro and used illusions. ]

Yeah, a boring fight which means you shouldn't have bothered. Don't you think there's enough people in this place that you can find a real challenge?

[ Tsk, tsk. ] You want to know more about that witch I mentioned though? That doesn't seem like your sort of thing.

[The memento has been found. The carnival is about to get a lot more dangerous.]

There's plenty. If that golden idiot was still around, I'd throw you at him for a real good fight.

[ Um, this got awkward fast she realizes. ] Magicians or magic users? There's a different, you know.

Golden idiot? Is that someone who'd be up for a fight or someone who is strong?

...Rokudou Mukuro. [ ...who is a person, not a type of magicians. But yes, that's the magician (illusionist) that he hates. ]

That was someone who was very strong. Now he's just another drone in this rotten town.

[ Sounds like a strange name to call their users. ] But what did you just say? That last part, um, I couldn't understand you. Maybe you should speak more clearly next time. Learn to enunciate a bit!

The town is don't too much of what it want to. [ He huffs. It wasn't allowed to drone strong people, at least not according to him. ]
