[Your mail today is the same as ever; useless bills, letters from non-existent relatives, the usual. Except that, today, there seems to be something else. A sealed envelope filled with random nonsensical gibberish- save for one section...]
can't write too much. you're running out of time. power's failing. system's falling apart. stop Z or you're all dead. or worse.
annie. the librarian. she's the key. but she's been chained. library = prison. have to get her out.
won't leave on her own. she'll stop you if you try to make her. part of the programming. memory needs to be jogged.
managed to dig up a few mementos. pieces of history. to make her remember. can't just give them to you- not since sergei. have to put them outside mayfield. you have to come find them. will be dangerous. but it's the only way.
will be making holes in the town. one every day. one week. they'll take you where you need to go. problem: each of you can only go through one. not enough power for anything else. 7 groups. 1 per portal. DON'T GET STUCK INSIDE
