Um well, I meant to announce this a while ago but...considering this place didn't give me a job, I decided to go out on my own and offer one-on-one cooking lessons. If you need help with the basics or a certain recipe, I'd be happy to help. We can negotiate the price on case by case basis and I can help provide ingredients.

Oh that's right. I do owe a few people some meals. Sorry, um if anyone knows Basco, I need to get a hold of him. Oh and there was that guy I was drinking with when there was the party the town held. I don't think I ever got his name and I was out of line with my behavior and I'd like to apologize to him.

[Saori's in the park later in the day. Without the daily routine of fighting rogue supernatural creatures and stuff, she's left to just work on her hand to hand combat skills. But after going at it for two hours already, she's taking a break, reading a novel while she's sitting in a random tree. She just wanted a change in scenery and away from any drones that would harass her.]

That's right. I don't know exactly if we're from the same Japan or not, but I'm pretty sure they're very much alike.

So yeah... I was thinking of making something and bringing it over as a way to make up for that night. Is there anything in particular you would like?

Well, I'm not sure how easy it would be to get sea urchin here... [ Or if this place even has any. ] But anything with cabbage would be nice.

[She laughs.]

Well, sea urchin would be hard to find in 1950s American markets.

Cabbage will be much easier to obtain though. Well, okonomiyaki would super easy to do even though I'm restricted on some ingredients. Oh and there's a whole bunch of other things I can make with cabbage. Give me a day and I'll have it ready. Where can I give it you?

Didn't think so. But that sounds pretty good to me. [ Really, he isn't too pick of an eater. Can't be with his old salary. ]

...Right. Figure I'd have it memorized by now. I think I've walked into the wrong house a few times already. I'm at 2235 Stevens Road.

I'd be interested in cooking lessons. I do keep meaning to find someone to teach me a few things, but the chance never seems to come up. Would you be looking for Mayfield money, or are you more interested in bartering?

I'll have to check with them to be sure... but I don't imagine there'll be much trouble. They're both very nice. And I imagine Gat wouldn't mind a few pointers in the kitchen, too.

Sounds great! Oh, by the way, where do you guys live? I'm up on Miller street.

We're at 458 Stone Street. It's not too far of a walk, I don't think.

[The park isn't exactly the best place to get away from odd creatures. Off in one field are the tractor cows, monstrous cyborgs that resemble the cyberdemons from Doom, but are far more docile.

Fran can be seen walking around them, taking notes and inspecting them.]

[Well, these beat drones any day. Saori peaks down below her and sees Fran.]

Excuse me, are these beasts yours?

[Fran glances up from her notes and nods]

They seem to be, yes~ I don't remember building them~ I'm told some previous version of myself built these a couple years ago~

Previous versions, huh? I think I remember reading about that somewhere.

So, uh, what exactly are they anyway?

From what I've been told, there was a brief period where this town changed and people were given impossible tasks~ The version of me was charged with "enhancing the cattle"~ This was the end result~

I'm told that she helped the people working at the tractor factory meet their productivity goals with this project as well~

[Saori blinks as she watches one of them pass by.]

...I see. To do this level of modification is rather impressive given the technological limitations of this world. A little terrifying but still impressive.
