[Yamame's not really feeling too terribly up to tear-assing around town today. Instead, she's taking a nice relaxing day in the park.

Though, instead of being out in the open, Yamame's found a nice little corner of the park surrounding by some bushes and trees to build thick webs around. It almost appears to be a strange cocoon of spider-webs just sitting on the ground in the park.

Tachikoma gingerly extends a claw and pokes the cocoon.]

[As soon as Tachikoma pokes that exposed hand it shrinks back into the webbing.

Then it pokes out somewhere else.]

[The hand shrinks back into the webbing, and then pops out once more in another spot.]

Yamame doesn't grow like humans do.

[It pulls back into the webbing, but instead of popping out again, Yamame just sits up. She's ruined her little cocoon in the process.]

It takes a long time for Yamame to grow.

[She thinks. She's never been too concerned of the biology of youkai.]

Really? Do you know how long? Like in so many years? Decades? Millenniums?

Supposedly as long as I'm maintained and provided a power source, I could exist that long as well. Though it might be hard to say if its still me as having parts that wear down replaced over time would quickly lead to a Theseus' Paradox...

[Yamame's just going to look at the Tachikoma with a bleary, confused gaze. Good lord that was too much technical speak.]

[Tachikoma waits a moment to see if the stare is due to drowsiness, but after a minute realizes maybe it should try a different route.]

Well, how old are you now? Not just how many years you've lived, but in relation to other tsuchigumo?

Yamame does not know any other Tsuchigumo. I don't think they came to Gensokyo, if there ever were any others.

Oh, I didn't know. I hope I didn't bring up any sad feelings by asking about it. I've known some humans tend to feel lonely in such situations, perceiving they're the only one of their kind or not like any others. But a lot of times that isn't true, because they have friends at least!

Of course, I couldn't really speak for myself. There's other Tachikomas where I'm from and we're synchronized at the end of every day!

Yamame likes it outside sometimes. Usually Yamame sleeps in a cave!

Oh, I see. I usually sleep in my recharge station, though it's not exactly 'sleep' as I power down so my internal cpu can shut down and rest while my batteries are recharged...

You say a lot of weird things that don't make any sense!

...They make sense to me. I just meant I don't sleep like organic creatures like yourself do. I'm powered on electricity and at night I plug into my station so the batteries that store that electricity can be charged back up to provide electricity for the next day.

[Yamame slaps her hands down on Tachikoma's chassis, sudden realization coming through.]
