(Kreutzer decided to take her chances at the post office, signing off whatever forms they presented before her as she was presented an envelope...but suddenly, her memory feels faulty. The worst part of forgetting something is when you can't remember what you've forgotten. All she could remember was feeling very nervous and tense...whatever it was, it must've been worth whatever was in this envelope. Once she opened it, she found a photograph containing very familiar dolls...)

(Darling, there is an ensemble of dolls knocking on your door. They are, in fact, flying and doll-sized and waiting patiently for your answer.)

(So now this girl is going about town (in normal clothing this time), carrying bags of what seem to be like sewing supplies. However, she's not carrying them along; she seems to be helped by...flying, adorable little dolls!? And she's talking to them, too? But they're talking back! Maybe you need a closer look for a proper examination. Don't worry; they're cute and huggable! Nothing can be wrong with such cute little dolls, right?)

[Hajime's minding his own business, thinking he's going to swing by the library, find something nice to read, and hole up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a book. He's spotted Kreutzer across the way, and while he might ordinarily have gone out of his way to avoid his not!wife, those dolls troubled him. Didn't she say they had something to do with her powers?

So he makes his way over to her, and in his inimitable fashion, doesn't even offer anything in the way of greeting or pleasantries.]

What are those?

[The tone in his voice suggests he'd probably rather not know but he's forcing himself to ask anyway.]

(Kreutzer's very used to the lack of proper greeting from him, so she's nothing to say in respect to that. Instead, it's one of her dolls that says something first.)

We're helping Kreutzer carry supplies from work! Do you wanna help, too?

[He's not sure what he wants to respond to more strongly--the implication that he'd want to help Kreutzer carry things home (which is at the moment a no), or the fact that the doll is speaking to him. He's looking directly at Kreutzer now, for the moment ignoring the doll that's speaking to him.]

What's going on?

(That same doll is still going to just float there, unsure of whether she was really being ignored.)

I made a visit to the post office everyone kept talking about. They gave me enough power to make these cute little things...but it feels like they took something from me. I don't know what, but they took something and I don't like it...

The Post Office? You actually...

[He actually looks slightly concerned. Slightly. He's thought about hitting the post office as well, but he was too afraid it'd trick him and return only his Joker form and nothing else. It's not a chance he's willing to take at this time. The loss she's speaking of is a bit unnerving.]

You appear to have all of your limbs in tact, at least.

[He is not good at being reassuring. And doll, he is still ignoring you.]

That is true; I can still work and I can continue doing everything I was before...I think focusing on my sewing could help me calm down.

(You might ignore her, but have another one get in the way.)

Sometimes, a creative outlet is all it takes to help cure such anguish and confusion. Ms. Kreutzer wants to continue sewing at home.

[He's ignoring this doll, too, as though he's hoping that if he ignores all of them, they'll go away.]

That might not be a bad idea.

[He's also thinking that sewing equals "staying out of Hajime's hair," so he's totally onboard with that idea. He's also still pretty curious as to how the Post Office has affected Kreutzer, so he's not going to leave just yet.]

Here, I'll walk with you. I was heading home for a cup of coffee anyway.

[Kreutzer, you may have noticed that Hajime likely drinks too much coffee.]

(Better be careful, Hajime; they'll keep talking even if you ignore them. And they won't be leaving.)

Good! Then you won't mind helping her carry these things!

(That's right, you've been dumped with your share of bags! They won't be happy if you drop them!)

[HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? Hajime is still doggedly trying not to address any of the dolls directly, even though it is impossible to deny the items that have been thrust into his arms. He's kind of glowering at Kreutzer now.]

How much of this stuff do you even need, anyway?

[The door to Rarity's house swings open, and she blinks curiously at the floating dolls.]

Hello?

(This doll adjusts her little glasses before she speaks.)

Good day...Ms. Rarity, correct? Ms. Kreutzer sent us here for you.

She did, did she?

So I suppose she must have gotten impatient and gone to the Post Office... oh, I do hope she's all right.

Yes, she was putting the finishing touches on one of her projects and requested your pre-

Pretty unicorn! Kreutzer loves unicorns!

[Rarity smiles, gleefully tossing her mane.]

(Which easily draws out a round of applause from the doll, but only ends up getting pulled back by this one.)

Yeah, take it easy; you'll scare her off, acting like that!

Anyway, Kreutzer wants us to take you to her place because she finished your dress.

Oh, well, in that case, lead the way!

(And so, the dolls escort Rarity to 2239 Stevens, where the living room has essentially been transformed into a temporary studio. Things'll be much more organized when Kreutzer regains her workshop, ok? Ok.

The aforementioned girl can be found tidying up the place with a few similar looking dolls. Physically, she's exactly the same as Rarity saw her last, so no missing limbs or anything! She does bow to Rarity upon her entry.)

Hello, Rarity! I'm sorry I didn't pick you up myself; I was just cleaning the house today.

(And not just because Rarity was coming over, nope nope.)

What sort of magic trick is that?

(That's right: flying dolls. No illusions here.)

You mean my dolls? They were something something I created back home with the marriage of science and alchemy; they can be mass-produced, but there's no need for that many yet.

They're incredible!

[He reaches out to try and touch one.]

They really move on their own? No strings attached or anything like that?

(Luke may feel surprised by how real they feel or how realistically this one tries pushing your hand away. What he won't feel, however, are any strings on the doll; wave your hand around them and feel the lack of strings!)

That tickles!

[Luke quickly pulls his hand back, startled.]

It's like they really are alive!

In a way, they are. I've perfected the art of bringing life to inanimate beings, though I prefer doing so with dolls; they can be surprisingly lively.

That is correct. There are special gems in my world that can be utilized for such purposes, but after working with such materials for so long, one can inherit their abilities...powers, if you will.
