[After... some time of working on it, Davis is finally unveiling the thing that has caused a few banged knuckles, splinters, and frustration for him in the garage over the last little while. It's the scratching post to end all scratching posts, a scratching complex, really, that includes two posts wrapped in carpet and supporting a carpeted crate. There's a hole in the front of it, and it should be more than big enough for their resident man-eating lion cub kitten.

It's after work, but before supper, when he drags it out of the garage and into the living room, stepping back a moment to admire his handiwork before calling out,]

They're detective books, a pretty good series. One of my favourites, in fact.

I've never read any of them... I don't have a lot of fiction books. [Or any.] But I'd love to try them if you have them here?
