Lils! Lils, he's here! Have you seen him? I mean really seen him? They've decided he's my brother in this place. Of course he's my brother. It's the perfect place for him. I'm going to go use this weird identification card one of the blokes in school gave me to go get alcohol so we can celebrate. You should come over. Hell, everyone's invited. We'll have a party of it at my house or in the park or lake or something. It clearly needs to be celebrated, yeah?

[Different isn't entirely the word for it, but Remus is so conflicted regarding their current predicament, he's not even sure he could grasp for a more appropriate word. Because his head feels much too full already. Only last night, he'd fallen into some kind of torrid love affair with his pillows after wandering near-delirious back to the dormitory, half-dead from studying for exams. He thought for certain it was only a very lucid dream when he'd woken in this place, in that room, in those pajamas...

But James is here. And Sirius. And Merlin, even Lily. They'll figure it all straight, eventually. Together.

It might have been easier to bike, but Remus opts to hoof it clear over to Mitchell Road and up to the door of 1449, hammering on it with the side of his fist.

And there he waits. Scarless as the day he was born, hair somewhat dissheveled, and in the poorest state of dress Sirius has probably ever seen of him. Wrinkled khaki pants and a plaid shirt only barely buttoned over his white t-shirt. The strange woman in his house would have had a fit if she'd seen him leave like that.]

[On his side he's biting his lip. He'd really hoped she'd gotten hers back. She'd been here longer then him, how did this make sense.]

[Someone will be going to the post office and doing an exchange if Lily doesn't get her wand back soon.]

Lily cradles the mouthpiece between her cheek and shoulder, reaching down to extract something from the drawer next to her. It'd be so much easier with magic.]

Even if I don't, this is the most I've felt like myself ever since I arrived here.

[The woman who answers the door almost gushes over Remus. What a handsome young man he is and how he must be her son's friend that he'd mentioned was coming over.

Sirius appears in the background while he's lighting up a cigarette and makes his way to the door where he excuses the woman and asks her to bake them some torts or something. She seems overjoyed to do it but tells Sirius 'How she wishes he wouldn't do that in the house.' indicating his smoking. Sirius ignores the comment and the lack of scars on Remus's face and opts to hug the other by tightly instead. He's really not worried about the scars being missing. He's seen enough weird stuff here already that he figures it's just this place doing another number on them. Fuck the little girl really. He'll just ignore her antics and be happy his friends are here.]

Just a mum. I'm pretty sure the dad person didn't care.

[Sirius will be a pirate. He'll shiver her timbers ... but not like that. He tugs on the curly wire that attaches the phone to the base.]

[He's of course talking about the resistance, but he won't say it so bluntly over the phone. No way is he that stupid.]

I can't put my finger on it, but I feel like I haven't been myself at all lately. [Not ever since she's woken up with her magic gone, entirely. She doesn't know it's back, even as her body feels it.] But now I just feel less... Incomplete.
