[Housemates may notice that Yuna has skipped school today.  She's still up at the usual hour, but instead of getting ready for class, she heads straight down the kitchen and gets right to work with all sorts of baking supplies.  Anyone who's around to notice what she's doing will eventually catch the distinct aroma of chocolate wafting through the air.]

[Action; Mayfield streets]

[Yuna's out for her usual run once school's let out, but she seems a little distracted today.  She's got her backpack on, which is a bit of a change from the norm, and she seems to be spending a lot of time staring into the sky as she goes along.  It's the perfect recipe for crashing right into someone.  Anyone who catches her may also notice that she's blushing as she spaces out.]

[Action; 947 Beulah Street; locked to Rin Kagamine]

[Well, she's finally here.  She's done enough running to psyche herself up, so after pacing back and forth on the doorstep a little, Yuna rings the bell.  She's holding a gift-wrapped box in her hands.]

Rin!  Hey, Rin!  Are you home?

No, no, it's okay! I skipped school to make it, so it's all yours! I want you to have it.

[Man, this is so awkward. Somehow in Yuna's head this whole thing was over faster than this and ended with the two of them just kind of being chill about the whole thing. Instead, it's just a runaway rollercoaster of emotion that neither of them really knows how to deal with.]

To tell you the truth, Valentine's Day has kinda been on my mind ever since, so I got the idea to do this for you for White Day. But now that I'm here, I'm not really sure what it's for. Maybe to apologize, or make sure we're still friends, or to let you know that I'm okay with what happened, or... something.

[To ask you out? She doesn't even know.]

Sorry, this is kind of all new for me.

[roadroller]

Ah... No, um... We're definitely still friends. I'm not mad about it, it was just a kiss!♪

[Except, now it's a kiss and chocolates.]

... Ok? ♪

['Still friends,' huh? Yuna can't help but look a little downcast about that particular statement.]

...Right. Sure, no problem.

[She definitely looks like there's more she wants to say here, but she's afraid of what might happen.]

[roadroller]

[Rin sees that frown, and stares in ...........almost terror. Oh no, this really is exactly what it looks like. Rin wants to run away. It's not that she can't see it ever happening, especially after the kiss and how good to her Yuna has always been, but then what about Lucas? Well, he said he wanted to be "friends" too, but is that it? Aagh, she never even asked for a boyfriend, or a girlfriend for that matter. She thought she could get away with being a spinster with a great brother. Why, god, why did she meet all these wonderful people!?

She doesn't want to say anything to mess this up worse, so she decides to change the situation by acting. She quickly looks down and starts tasting the chocolates.]

[drank_the_milk]

[When Rin takes one of the chocolates, Yuna looks back up, shoving her disappointment down into her heart along with her sadness and loneliness and all the other negative emotions she's gotten so good at ignoring and repressing. Her expression is now one of curiosity as she watches Rin sample the chocolate.

...She tries not to focus in too hard on her lips.]

Are they good?

[roadroller]

Uwa, they really are!

[and she means that at least. Rin totally burned her attempt, so she's impressed.]

I could never make something like this. .... You must have a lot of experience. ♪

[drank_the_milk]

It's not that hard. Mom showed me when I was little, and I've been making them for dad ever since.

[She blushes a little, rubbing the back of her head.]

This is the first time I've given them to someone else, though, so I'm glad they're actually good and he wasn't just saying that to keep me happy.

[roadroller]

It is? ♪

[way to make her feel guilty. Her hand goes back to rest on the side of the box.

Then she tries to break the silence.]

Haha, well, I know how it is. I only ever gave Len and Kaito-nii chocolates, too. Family is really important. ♪

[Wait, saying that could be really misleading! Rin suddenly looks up.]

Look... I don't want to decieve you. You're not the only person to confess feelings for me lately! So I don't know what to do about any of this. ♪

I could show you how to do it sometime if you want. I bet Len would be really impressed with handmade chocolates from his cute sister, right?

[The 'cute sister' remark was meant as a joke to poke fun at the way Len is, but Yuna seems to realize the awkward double meaning and how it probably came off to Rin just seconds after saying it. Her eyes drop to the ground for a moment as she shuffles her feet, but when she looks back up she's smiling again, even if she does look a little embarrassed.]

But anyway, I really am glad you like them.

[But then Rin says that second part, and Yuna's expression kind of drops again. She keeps up the smile, but there's a lot of uncertainty there now.]

Oh... I didn't know. I guess I should've expected it, though. You are pretty popular, and kind of Mayfield-famous too by now!

[She laughs a little, trying to lighten the mood.]

I don't really want to put any pressure on you or anything, though. I probably made you feel awkward enough as it is.

[she repeats, and then tries to relax.]

... Well, I don't think my popularity has to do with it. I've always been popular. Just not in this way.♪

[Maybe she was less approachable, with Len always around. These people know the real her. Or maybe this side never existed until she came to Mayfield.]

I don't have any experience with this kinda thing. I'm sorry! ♪

Neither do I, so at least that's one thing we've got in common. I've actually never even had a boyfriend before.

[Which is really because of her lingering daddy issues and hang-ups relating to that whole situation. Somehow, on some subconscious level, getting a boyfriend would feel like a betrayal on her part. So in a way, it's not too far off from Rin's own experiences.]

[roadroller]

Well, people in my world thought I was dating Len or something. ♪

[she laughs, not minding the misconception...]

[Yuna laughs too. Mostly because she can totally see it.]

Well, you two are pretty adorable that way.

[roadroller]

[yes let's lighten the mood with incest!!]

We're the couple everyone roots for! ♪

[drank_the_milk]

[Everyone can get behind that!]

Yeah, I can't wait for the big show this weekend! I'll be in the front row cheering you guys on!

[roadroller]

That's great! ♪

[Rin smiles genuinely. It seems she was able to relax after all.]

Anyway... I think I should probably get going.

[Yuna blushes awkwardly for a moment, but very quickly puts on a confident smile.]

I said what I came here to say, and I don't regret telling you. But you're always my friend first, so take as long as you want deciding how to answer me. And I promise I'll be here for you no matter what, so you don't have to worry about that.

[Before Rin can get much of a word in edgewise, Yuna takes a step forward and draws her into a warm hug.]

[roadroller]

[It really is warm. Rin responds by squeezing back tightly. It seems those words meant a lot to her.]

[Yuna's so cool. Even though she hadn't thought of her that way before Valentines, she thinks she can give it some serious consideration. But she can't think of how else to put that in words, so she looks up and gives a determined nod.]

All right, I'm gonna get going, then. Enjoy the chocolate, and I'll see you at the concert!

[Looks like she managed to turn things around, at least a little. Yuna's all smiles as she heads for the door to retrieve her shoes, and gives a little wave as she slips them on.]
