[Housemates may notice that Yuna has skipped school today.  She's still up at the usual hour, but instead of getting ready for class, she heads straight down the kitchen and gets right to work with all sorts of baking supplies.  Anyone who's around to notice what she's doing will eventually catch the distinct aroma of chocolate wafting through the air.]

[Yuna's out for her usual run once school's let out, but she seems a little distracted today.  She's got her backpack on, which is a bit of a change from the norm, and she seems to be spending a lot of time staring into the sky as she goes along.  It's the perfect recipe for crashing right into someone.  Anyone who catches her may also notice that she's blushing as she spaces out.]

[Well, she's finally here.  She's done enough running to psyche herself up, so after pacing back and forth on the doorstep a little, Yuna rings the bell.  She's holding a gift-wrapped box in her hands.]

Rin!  Hey, Rin!  Are you home?

[He's just idly walking back from school, taking his own sweet time. Obviously, he's not too happy when she bumps into him.]

Whoa! Hey Draco! Sorry about that!

[He huffs and adjusts his clothes.]

You'd better be. People take offence to many things, and sometimes a "sorry" isn't enough.

So what's got your head in the clouds? You seemed rather out of things.

Oh! Uh... nothing much!

[As good as she is at suppressing and hiding negative emotions that are bothering her, she's apparently pretty bad at shoving down the happy ones. She's blushing a little.]

You look like you've swallowed a Love Potion. Careful, don't blush too much or your cheeks might stay red for life.

Haha, busted, huh? Yeah, I'm actually on my way to deliver some chocolate, so I guess we'll see how that goes.

It isn't Valentine's Day. You don't have to give your boyfriend anything.

Yeah, I know, but we do things a little differently in Japan.

And what do you do then?

[drank_the_milk]

Well, there's a second holiday called White Day that happens a month later where the people who got chocolate on Valentine's Day give chocolate or a present back to whoever gave them chocolate if they like them back!

[She is very carefully keeping her explanation gender neutral, because she really doesn't want to explain the fact that White Day is actually for boys to give gifts back to girls that gave them chocolate on Valentine's Day, because then she will also have to explain why she's giving chocolate despite being female, and that she's giving chocolate to another girl, and that this whole thing got started when she got hit with the effects of what Draco will probably understand as a love spell in the first place anyway. ;u;]

Hmm. That seems fair, though it could also be rather cruel if the other party didn't offer chocolates in response to Valentine's Day. Though chocolates are rather clique, aren't they? Why not give something bigger and better?

Yeah, that happens sometimes too. I've heard in Korea they have this thing called Black Day that they do on May 14th where everyone who didn't get chocolates on either day just hangs out together and goes out to a movie or something.

[Yuna thinks about that last part a little, shifting the weight of the backpack she's carrying.]

Bigger and better like what? I mean, I did hand-make everything...

[intwobooks]

I'm not your professor, go figure that one out yourself. But the better and bigger the gift, the better the impression. You leave more of a lasting memory with a person.

Well, I think it's pretty much already now or never. I already spent the whole afternoon running around town psyching myself up for this.

[intwobooks]

[He shrugs.]

Do as you wish. It doesn't really matter to me.

I'm sure it'll be fine. Either way, it's really just something I need to get off my chest. I think I'll feel better having said it no matter what the answer is.
