[Housemates may notice that Yuna has skipped school today.  She's still up at the usual hour, but instead of getting ready for class, she heads straight down the kitchen and gets right to work with all sorts of baking supplies.  Anyone who's around to notice what she's doing will eventually catch the distinct aroma of chocolate wafting through the air.]

[Yuna's out for her usual run once school's let out, but she seems a little distracted today.  She's got her backpack on, which is a bit of a change from the norm, and she seems to be spending a lot of time staring into the sky as she goes along.  It's the perfect recipe for crashing right into someone.  Anyone who catches her may also notice that she's blushing as she spaces out.]

[Action; 947 Beulah Street; locked to Rin Kagamine]

[Well, she's finally here.  She's done enough running to psyche herself up, so after pacing back and forth on the doorstep a little, Yuna rings the bell.  She's holding a gift-wrapped box in her hands.]

Rin!  Hey, Rin!  Are you home?

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't space out like that while I'm running. Are you okay?

[swordwaitress]

Yes, I'm fine. [ She adjusts the sword on her hip though. ] What's your name, miss..?

[drank_the_milk]

Akashi! Yuna Akashi. Nice to meet you.

[She puts her hand out for a shake.]

[ She happily takes Yuna's hand and shakes it. ] Nice to meet you too, Akashi-san. I'm Yachiyo Todoroki.

So, how long have you been in Mayfield, Yachiyo?

[swordwaitress]

Since just before Christmas. What about you? Have you been here for long?

[drank_the_milk]

[Yuna thinks for a moment, and then slaps her own forehead.]

Ugh... I didn't even think about it until now, but it's been over a year this week.

[swordwaitress]

Oh my, that's a really long time.

[drank_the_milk]

Yeah... it sucks.

[swordwaitress]

I would guess...that a lot has happened in the past year.

[drank_the_milk]

Yeah, a lot of stuff.

[swordwaitress]

I hope it hasn't been too hard on you. [ The big sister in her feels like hugging Yuna now, so that's what she's going to do. Have a warm hug, Yuna. ]

[drank_the_milk]

[Yuna blinks a little, since that was pretty unexpected, but it's a friendly enough gesture, so she eventually hugs back.]

Nah, I've been getting by.

[swordwaitress]

[ Hope she doesn't mind if she gets boob-squished in the process. ]

I'm glad you've managed.

[ Eventually Yachiyo lets go of Yuna again. ]

[That's probably unavoidable, really.]

Yeah. If we give up hope, that's when the town wins.

[swordwaitress]

I guess you're right about that. And we can't let them win, can we?

[drank_the_milk]

Exactly! So that's why I'm gonna keep on fighting and not lose hope.

[swordwaitress]

So true. Oh, and if you ever need my help for something, please give me a call, okay?

[Eyeing dat sword.]

So I guess you're pretty good with that, then?

[swordwaitress]

Oh, yes. I've been using one for so long. My family makes blades.

[ She gives the katana a pat. ]

Do you know how to handle a sword?

Nah, I mostly use pistols.

Oh that's interesting! Are they nice to use?
