...

[She manages to contain her shock: this is definitely not something she gets told often. In a place as harsh and chaotic as Mayfield, practically everyone were more than happy to accept her as how she's presented herself to suit the setting: someone reliable and capable who can be turned to and counted on for help and support when things get bad. Her personal experiences helped solidify the image, so in contrast to the senpai model she successfully kept in Misaki, here it turned into a mature woman who indeed behaved far beyond her physical years.

In fact, she doesn't remember the last person who called her out on this.

But stupid fun, huh? ...Doesn't half the "bad" stuff that happen to her here already qualify? (That or her definition of a good time has already been broken beyond repair) Getting angry at silly things and subtly teasing others, these were luxuries that living like a normal human held. Both a curse and a blessing. This...

She just blinks at the poke, and keeps watching the blonde witch with the same expression of mild amazement until Marisa disappears by the staircase. ...And no glasses, huh?

...Haha, that's a little something she's indulged in that she doesn't plan to let go of. If anything, it brings up the embarrassing memory of having at one point wanted to give Tohno Shiki her current pair - the original ones received as a regain. Because she wanted him to remember her as just his senpai at the end of that road, not the cold Church Executor that he had to confront several times. But in the end, he was droned before she got the chance, although looking at it now, it would've been a remarkably silly request anyway.

...

She finishes what's left of her tea and takes off her glasses again. She'll then idly wipe the lenses with the edge of her blouse, breathing out softly before putting them back on the bridge of her nose. What a strange turn of events... She sure had no plans to revisit these memories tonight, but moving on. Stretching a bit as she stands up and picks up after herself, she gives the living room of 1125 Taylor Road a quick sweep before exiting her way to the kitchen.

...Eh, missing a day of school was never a big deal here. Marisa can come home whenever she wants, as long as she doesn't reek of alcohol and presents herself as wasted in Ciel's direct presence.]
