Staring into the reverse of the moon

I have noticed that recently many people have devolved to a more simple frame of mind, then restored themselves. Was this by accident, was it a trick of the moon? I have no childhood so I know not what it is like but, was wondering if one could explain it. If compensation is needed I could make a quest out of it, but honestly, I simply feel that I am missing something to help me understand humanity.

There are still so many questions.

There are many things. What makes them love, what makes them fear, why is the past preferable to the future to one, while the opposite holds true for another?

A valid viewpoint... But if your greatest foe feeds on negative aspects of humanity, I wish to know so that I may truly make its suffering worth it.

Feeding on negativity? Well, that doesn't sound very nourishing in the least! It sounds to me that all your foe needs is a tall mug of grog! It's the cause and solution to many of my own problems, that's for sure!

Is that the manner of creature your nemesis is, then? Something that a few earthly delights cannot sate? A good fight, a good drink, and a good woman?

Indeed. One of the things that gave birth to the gods. A beast that feeds only upon misery and simply seeks that all humanity boil away into cosmic nothingness.

This enemy of yours, I don't suppose he's here, is he? It would be rather difficult to fight him while we're all stuck here, eh?
